Week 5

[It's been five weeks (since you looked at me) and with the deaths of Shadow and Rukia, the group that was initially 20 strong has dwindled down to ten. Ten people in the span of a month and, even with the Overseers seeming increase in empathy for the remaining Champions, there is no end in sight for the Champion Excellence Program.

And again at 7 am on Sunday the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call there is no new floor announcement this week.

And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

[Yurika lights up and runs to the middle of the dance floor. She'll probably pull anyone into a dance, even if she's just wearing her normal space suit.]

I couldn't say - but that doesn't mean we couldn't try one out, right?

What were dances like when you had them?

Oh, ah, I didn't...go to a lot of dances. My Dad mostly taught me some swing, but that's it...

Really? What about school dances? Were those not popular back then?

I'm sure they were, but I didn't really...you know...go to them? I didn't have any dates, and my Dad's...kind of very protective.

[He probably would have threatened a boy with a cake and then the whole night would've been ruined.]

Still sounds better than my dad. He used to scare off guys bragging about how I was out of their league.

At least he only did that. Mine would write "Touch my daughter's behind and I'll keelhaul you into next week sonny jim" on a cake and give it to him.

[bursts out laughing] Okay, that beats the time he thought Jun was my boyfriend and gave him all those health centre pamphlets!

I wanted to hide for a week.

I know! Oh, the plush toy? It's from a really old show, but I got it in the dumbwaiter last week, and I've been using it in the Space Station Beautification Project. You know, maybe I should start hiding it around the ship... Oh, but what if it got lost? What do you think?

I wouldn't. If someone else puts it in their bedroom then you wouldn't find it again...

You know! Painting the doors, paper chains in the cafeteria, signs in the gym... I'm thinking a disco ball in the library next!

[She's nodding along until you get to the disco ball.] Please don't do that to the library.

Though I was thinking of doing some decorating myself.

What if I just put it in Bolton-san's office? We've got Styrofoam balls and probably enough sequins for one.

His office is a bit plain isn't it? I was thinking of decorating it myself...

Just some sparkly fabric I tacked up. I wonder what else people want?

Maybe you should ask them. I don't plan on going there...I still don't believe that thing freezes.

Sure! Why not, though? Water freezes at zero in every world.
