[Well that weekend sucked. The Champions are down a dad and a bean and shrinking their numbers smaller and smaller, less and less.

There's no sign of life in the spaceport aside from PAL's omnipresent voice and SIS, the helpful asSIStant who has some control over certain heres and theres in the spaceport. I'd hoped we could also discuss where we might focus our efforts productively, but it doesn't seem we have any ideas.

Well I mean...we know about how PAL was back when we knew him. And this PAL seems different? And Price is a fuck who probably only wants to help us cuz it's his only way out. We could try befriending both of them, but you'd have to be like super cautious...

I'm not playing nice with PAL.

He does seem a bit strange. You recall how he reacted at the end of our most recent trial?

Do you recall that he's got a sturdy robot bod now?

There's a lot...odd about him.

Jane and I discussed that earlier. I was uncertain whether he had that form before, as I don't recall seeing him in person before.

As far as I recall, no, he didn't. Every time he attacked one of us inside, it was from the mansion's walls.

So he was not simply waiting in a room somewhere to control them?

I think he was the whole house, Arianna. Or... maybe more like SIS, where he could see and hear everything and act physically as needed. At least, at that time.
