[Well that weekend sucked. The Champions are down a dad and a bean and shrinking their numbers smaller and smaller, less and less.

There's no sign of life in the spaceport aside from PAL's omnipresent voice and SIS, the helpful asSIStant who has some control over certain heres and theres in the spaceport. She (and PAL) are available at all times and can appear anywhere if called. There is, however, a new floor to explore. Just hop in the elevator and pchoo.]

[She makes an ugly face of disgust and looks away. That's when she notices that Jane's here too.

These had to be all the people in her initial group. Thinking about that... this is probably really emotional for her too. Putting her hand down, she joins Jane.]

...hey. How... are you doing?

[God she's still not good at this but she wants to be better.]

[It's alright. She doesn't have to be good at it.]

...Ah...well, not. Not super good, but I...I can't lock myself away. [Jane finds herself glancing back at Lightning.] Not...not after everything Light did for us. Not after everything she was.

[She feels the same way about the people who helped get her here.]

Do... you want to talk about it? ...about her?

[Fukawa can't say she knows anything other than... she's really pretty.]

[Serah is the Lightning Farron Fan Club Founder, Xander is the Lightning Farron Fan Club President, so...Jane would be the Lightning Farron Fan Club Vice President, so, you'd be in for a lot of praise.]

[Anyone Jane thought highly of... was probably someone worth admiring. She couldn't say she wasn't curious anyway either.]

These are the people we're all fighting for after all.

...Okay. Well, she was...very sure of herself. No matter her actions, Lightning always knew...yes, this was what she had to do. Serious and level-headed, and she tried hard to be more of a loner, but kind of ended up a leader with Xander. And - and she was good. She didn't take it easy on anyone, but she was always a good person. Willing to listen, and willing to help. Even if, um...her kind of help was more, here, you're sad, being sad isn't going to do anything, take it out by trying to fight me instead. [Jane snorts softly.] Which I did. And she kicked my butt. But after, I felt better. And...above all, she was dedicated to the people she loved. Her sister...and us.

[For a brief moment, Jane looks back at Lightning's portrait. It's been so long...and yet, she hasn't forgotten her face at all.]

She - she found someone murdering someone else. And...they were so upset over what they did, and so scared...that she killed them, so they wouldn't have to go out the airlock in an execution. Because she couldn't let Kurumi die that way after all the pain she'd been through already. And before we had to vote, Lightning gave me this...this silly toy knife. [Jane takes out the toy knife from her pocket, and shows Touko.] She said it was a copy of a real knife her sister gave her. And...I guess I held onto it, or the real version, for as long as I could. Just to have a piece of her with me.

...even though she knew what would happen to her, she was willing to go that far...

[She can see why Jane thought so highly of her. If she was in that position-- hell. She wouldn't have known what to do. Honestly she probably would have been too scared to do anything.]

We... didn't really have anyone like that in Starfield. But... the kind of person she was... it kind of reminds me of someone. Well-- she probably wouldn't go so far, but... that kind of stern support and intelligence... I can think of someone like that. I probably... would have admired her if I knew her.

I'm glad you got to hold on to it, even if it isn't real. If she gave it to you then she probably thought really highly of you too.

...I can only hope I can live up to whatever she saw in me. It's...hard, not knowing what she'd want me to do now. And before any of this, I never...I hadn't had someone like her to look up to.
