...The last thing that Soma Cruz ever did was to look at me and say 'goodbye, my brother' in a language I thought none other even spoke. And when I think about that, I'm forced to realize that if anyone else dared to call me that I would have wished them dead on the spot--but not him, and I don't understand why.

And when I think further upon the matter, I have to acknowledge that we were very much the same. One who never asked for such a fate, with a monster living in their head and countless ages tangled in their mind like a tremendous knot of too many threads that can't be pulled free.

...I saw that same face in the mirror far too many times, Noctis. The same black eyes, the same callous indifference for life, and without thinking I knew I had to be the one to do something to stop it.

Because when Jane takes an art break, she finds Papa Noct playing vidyas, and...that sure is some Assassins Creed, or at least she thinks it is. Looks like some assassin-type shit going on. She watches from the entranceway of the store a bit until she decides to enter proper.]

I'm...... honestly? No. I'm terrified everyday he'll do it again... but I keep fucking with him because part of me wants to see if I can avoid Rule 6 and make it for self-defense. Really hurt him... except he's really hurt right now, so that's no fun. [Huff huff] Because of him I now have little lightning bolt scars on my fingers, and my feet have it worse. Walking around barefoot sometimes is my only option until my feet wake up fully. They go numb pretty easy now.

I've been provoking him for the same reason, but I don't have any illusions about 'self-defense' qualifying as a loophole. There's no way that common sense will apply here in any way, and I don't want to see you hurt again.
