week 2
[It's been about a week since the Champions woke up in their new consumerist hellscape of a temporary home and, despite a few odd goings on and the bomb incident with Church and Nari, things haven't been as bad as they could be. No one is even dead yet! But let's see how long that lasts.
Enjoy your week, Champions.]
(( Also, don't forget to submit your AC and item rolls! You can also bother your Overseer here. ))

Do you know what the best thing for someone still recovering from a traumatic injury to do is? Fiddle around in Roombaville with some help from Universe. The result is him making attempts to ride roombas around. Sitting, standing/surfing, trying to tie a couple together or make a little platform--you know he's gonna fall, right? Cuz he is. Like a dumbass.
At some point he realizes that he's got coins for the giant...gumball machine? thing? in Flavortown? So...might as well roll the gacha and see what's what. But he's got several coins, and--oh look, he's got a little reusable shopping bag from Moonglow on a roomba to carry stuff.] ...Holy shit. [That looks like a sniper rifle, but nerf-ified. His eyes have anime sparkles. Pray to your gods now.
He also is definitely meandering at night. Listlessly. Aimlessly. No reason. It's fine. (He wants to see these stupid mecha Paul Blarts.)]

He mentioned they were sight-based. Keep an eye out for anything to duck behind and we'll see how 'not very clever' these things are.
Just remember the rules on damaging things presumably apply to them. Don't do anything stupid.

I'm not gonna hurt it. Probably. But like, 'escort'? C'mon, what's it gonna do, nudge me in the ankles like a cat? Oh, wow, I'm so scared.

Church? Are... you alright? [Let's just step over those roombas... and offer a hand up. You okay, my dude]
no subject
Ow. Yeah, I'm good. [Yes please hand up.] Mostly. This was not as easy as I expected it to be.
no subject
She helps pull him up. Slowly. Safety first.] What... was it you expected it to be? Exactly?
no subject
...Unless these hover and they're so close to the ground you can't tell. Huh...

[she puts on her most genuine smile.]
Where did you come up with this idea?
no subject
Also, I mean, if it moves, you could like...use it like a skateboard! Kinda. Do we have wheelchairs? I don't even know, but we could make a roombachair, maybe. And also, if I gotta carry stuff around with two hands... [Nothing heavy, any, not for a bit.]

That night
Still, his posture is lax and his smile wide as he approaches the injured man.]
Keeping a handle on yourself, Sister?

Think I'm not the only one with the idea.
no subject
I'd say it's a bad idea, all of us walking around trying to spot them but, 'know thy enemy,' right?
no subject
Look at it this way: the more of us out here, the more of us here in case something happens. Witnesses and help.
no subject
And if we split up, there's no way they can kill all of us. Probably.
no subject
Don't get me wrong. I hate him, and being in the same building as him makes what's left of my skin crawl, but if he says they're basically harmless then he thinks that. Maybe his supers are lying to him, but so far we can't prove that to be the case.
Besides, killing us with dumb blartbots would be...lame. If we're supposed to kill each other.

[moving on] I mean they're...future space roombas, they couldn't make them any sturdier in a couple thousand years? Cats have been riding them for forever. We can make this work somehow...
no subject
Oh, the tech's definitely better than what you'd find in the old twenty-first century models, for sure, but you still don't fix what's not broken. Like the way sharks evolved into a shape that worked and then just stuck there for millions of years.
no subject
We can make it better. Faster. Stronger. We have the technology.
no subject
[...Metaphorically. Sort of.]
Ha, the six-million dollar Roomba. Huhm, maybe with the tech repair center... we'd need to at least improve the support system for the wheels-
