You know what? Kaiba's got this. He removes the spattered glasses, resting them on what's left of his chest, and closes Max's eyes.]

[Max's head and neck do not appear to have been damaged! There's no visible sign of injury, and though his body is still pliant enough that you can move his head easily enough, it's within the normal range, not enough to indicate a broken neck.]
