[Come early morning, the station is still and quiet. Nothing seems amiss in the area around your living quarters. It's a little while yet until C.E.C.E. makes her typical morning announcement, but of course you're still free to move about the station at your leisure.

[he slept off and on last night, knowing tomorrow was the day everything would really be over for him- but he wakes up suddenly to the news that someone's bought him a reprieve in exchange for the fellow champion he trusted the most. he makes his way up to the top floor, mind an emptily spinning wheel, but the smell- he couldn't with Zombina and he can't do it here in front of everyone either. he takes another floor down- he'll go back up when everyone's started to leave- but for now? he doesn't even really know where he is, just knows how it should and shouldn't look after he put everything away after making that coat.

What is obvious here? Is he going to need to book it out again in horror?]

It looks like they've been rifled through. The most obvious thing, at first glance, is that some cloth has been cut from one of the bolts.]

[what kind is missing? ragged or smooth cut?]

[It's just plain old fabric, probably cotton or something like that. The cut is smooth.]

[he almost doesn't think anything of it except that it's oddly messy for first thing in the morning. let's talk sewing machines. does it look like someone was in the middle of a project?]

[It's hard to say! But the area where the ribbons are kept also seems disturbed.]

[and he's just going to. take a look. same smooth cuts? or is this a hot hurried mess?

this hasn't been cleaned up so either someone was doing a late night project or this is relevant to who's dead. if he concentrates on all these weird little details, it's not real. it's just another investigation.]

[at least there's no bloody scissors or he'd be. done. so he goes down to look to Penny.]
