[In a tragic yet seemingly inevitable turn of fate, the Champions have lost Zombina this week. OsoKaramatsu and Korra, too, are gone, both having fallen in their attempts to help their fellow Champions out of terrible circumstances.

Again, the Champions will find themselves experiencing strange dreams on Sunday night, until they're awakened by C.E.C.E.'s announcement. This is all starting to become routine.]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your third trial, you have unlocked the fourth floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.!

[The trash compactor is completely shiny and new again. In addition, the profiles on the P.I.P.s still inticate that Karamatsu is dead. Because of course he is, right?

Fuck you.]

[It's actually a lot simpler than you'd think, Akira. Because now Karamatsu just looks...very sad again.]

...could I hug you? I...regret, not being able to hug my brother before he died...because I was afraid if we got too close, we would be caught, and I-

[He stops talking before his words get ahead of himself, taking a breath.]

I am so afraid of losing anyone else...I d-don't want to regret anything.

[le_mat]

[he makes a small pained noise, but opens his arms regardless]

[Karamatsu has to put Morgana aside for a moment, but after that he's pretty quick to make good on that request even if he's still a little nervous around everyone since the trial. ...Less so with Akira. He'd just...been really good to him, after all.

So he puts his arms around him and hugs him, tightly but not enough to hurt. As tight as he wishes he could have hugged Osomatsu, just like Penny did...]

[he hugs back... Honestly a hug is just what he needs too. And while it feels a little strange to do for an adult, he rubs his back and the back of his head too]

You can stay here s'long as you need. I'm used to a roommate anyways, so I don't mind.

[It might be a little strange, but Karamatsu honestly doesn't care. It's like he said- he's not going to leave himself anything else to regret. Also oops where'd the honorific go we just don't know.]

You...you do not know how much it means to me.

[He squeezes him a little harder]

It's the least I could do, man.

[Hopefully Akira doesn't mind if he just...doesn't let go, for a minute. Morgana is a good surrogate, but nothing can really replace having an actual body nearby. It's half the reason he's here, and not isolated in his own room. He and his brothers haven't functioned alone for their entire lives...and it's probably been to a rather unhealthy and somewhat damaging degree. But by now, it's too late.

Karamatsu rests his chin on Akira's shoulder, only saved from crying again because he has no more tears left to cry.]

I promise...I promise, I will not do anything to jeopardize our safety as a group ever again.

[And if he does start to do something dumb, Akira has full rights to put him in a headlock and stop it.]

I'm going to hold you to that, Karamatsu-san. We need to look out for each other, okay?

[karappo]

[Karamatsu nods vigorously a time or two, reaching up to wipe his eyes again after he pulls out of the embrace slightly.]

I just...I cannot...stop worrying about what might happen next. There is always something else.

Same. But hopefully things will calm down for a little bit.

[Hey Jess I'm gonna have to ask you to not]

Perhaps...we can have another week like our first. If everyone could just overlook the motive...

[Which he knows is easier said than done.]
