[The Champions have had their first deliberate murders this week, and just like that, Prompto and Lunafreya are gone. Slaine followed them shortly after, however most people may feel about that.

This time, C.E.C.E.'s addition to the morning announcement probably doesn't come as much of a surprise:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your second trial, you have unlocked the third floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[In addition to the new floor, the Champions will find that they've gained another memory this week.]

Akira? [He sounds more alarmed than anything, just now.]

[To that, Osomatsu does what he does best when his brothers come to him with a serious issue like this. He reaches out and grips her wrist tightly and tugs her forward, so he can pull her into a small, slightly awkward embrace.]

No, we definitely can't. It's scary that people keep dying every week... even after we keep telling each other that we wouldn't play their games. It's scary and it's stupid, and I wish there was a way to just stop it all and go back home.

[That...wasn't all that bad, actually.

Though he's feeling pretty okay with his memory, Max knows a lot of people probably aren't. So this week, he simplifies the process and goes door-to-door down the first floor hall, pushing along a rolling cart stolen from the greenhouse with a bunch of muffins and some glasses of water on it. The muffins are absolutely just a box mix, but that's so much quicker and easier than doing it from scratch. People still have to eat.

The rest of the day is spent in the cafeteria. He's sitting at a table with a bunch of art supplies, and he'll try to wave anyone who enters over to join him:]

Oh, uh... [Max takes the letter automatically, frowning down at the writing on the outside.] What's this?

[he's rinsing his mouth when Kaiba comes in. He looks up, no glasses and ghost pale]

Oh... hey.

[he's trying very hard to hurl, but considering he didn't eat much after the trial it's mostly just spit and stomach cramping.

He doesn't seem to notice Max yet]

Oh - jesus, Akira!

[Max darts over, to place one hand on Akira's back and try to brace him with the other.]

[Holy shit a lot happened. A date with babe, D was Doppel-chan pulling a prank, a kid -Yuuhi, was it- got zombified because that Dullahan-Lala- snatched one of her teeth when she went into the hospital for her monthly preservative fluids change and holy shit a lot happened.

Not that any of that matters.

When she comes out, it's easy to see Zombina's back in the champion's suit for some reason. She has her jacket on over it all though.

She can be found checking out all the new stuff.

Zombina can be found getting some needles and several strong looking spools of thread in the sewing room.

In the arcade loud cackling can be heard as Zombina plays the zombie shooting game. She's doing pretty well.

She can be found in the evening in the holodeck, which has turned into an apartment. There are several people in it. An ogre, an monoeye, a normal woman, and... a butt naked shapeshifter. Fun. Zombina is staring at the people with an longing look on her face.

If anyone ventures out at night, they can feel the chill coming from the pool room. Zombina's just... laying on the ice, staring up at the ceiling. Investigate? ]

[oso... she just. She didn’t know she needed this but she does. And she quickly wraps her arms around him, returning the hug. But the problem is, she just. Has too many feelings, and she’s so mad, so frustrated about losing Luna.

It’s nice to hear someone agree with her.

But also damn it, she’s crying again]

It's from Slaine.

[ ...probably the last person max wants to hear from but. it is what it is. ]

Do whatever you want with it. It's a letter.

[With Korra returning the hug, and thanking Osomatsu he can't help it when his cheeks flush a little pink. It's not like he's ever, honestly hugged a girl other than his mother before and it.. feels nice to have someone thank him, genuinely. Though he knows she'd never be interested in someone like him, he tightens his arms around her anyway to just enjoy the moment. It's something both of them needed, honestly.]

We'll figure something out, yeah?

[le_mat]

[he whines patheticly, eyes scrunched up]

I screwed up... so bad.

Shhhh, take it easy...

[He rubs Akira's back, barely resisting the urge to reach out and try to touch his forehead for a temperature. But it's probably not about being physically sick, huh? So instead, he just says the first thing that pops into his head:]

You're okay. [Technically, this is a huge lie.]

[Well Osomatsu was just getting himself some coffee to mend his horrid headache from drinking too much last night, but with Max waving him over like that and asking if he can draw him how could Oso just ignore it?

He walks over with a big grin on his face and immediately poses, like some kind of really shitty fashion model who doesn't know what they're doing.]

.....you know what, if that's what you wanna do, sure. But you're gonna have to hold it there.

[Really, he probably doesn't? But Max is absolutely gonna make him.]

[Max's eyes narrow, but he reaches out to take it.]

The fuck would he write me a letter for?

[Now that's just cruel.]

[He's going to get bored of this in a couple minutes, though. He's definitely going to.]

Do you draw people outta the blue like this normally?

[a lie it might be, but it starts Akira up]

Ah know! There's no way they could've brough' me back from that unless they, fuck, they can alter cognition? But there was nothin' to alter I was fucking gone they were all gone... So ah had to fix it somehow but I can' remember Max-!

I don'... What if everyone else gets a memory next week 'cept me?!

[it's rambling nonsense, to slurred a lot of it is lost. But what is clear is his tears and terror]

Beats me. I didn't even know you guys talked to each other.

[ not like yuri keeps track of that or anything but. yeah. ]

pool room

[ yuri doesn't go to the pool room to skate; he's here to seek zombina out. he finds her lying on the ice....

and then he just drops what appears to be a piece of paper on top of her stomach. ]

Read it.

[ it's a letter from slaine, addressed to zombina. ]

[Zombina jolts up in surprise.]

Wha-

[Then she starts reading it and stops talking. Her face switches from surprised to sad to even sadder, to a slight wince at one part. Yeah... She's crying alright. Dammit. ]

.....Dammit Slaine...

[ Just... give her a moment to loudly sniffle and wipe away the tears.]

...Ya went in Slaine's room ta get these Yuri?

[Looks like she's dropped the honorifics for the both of you.]

[ he just nods, averting his gaze when zombina starts to cry. he knew zombina would be one of the people who wouldn't just...crumple up the note and throw it away.

after a few moments, he'll hand her his own letter from slaine. ]

...

[ he called yuri his friend.

how is he supposed to get over that? ]

[Zombina quietly reads Yuri's letter.]

... I'm pretty sure your friendship meant a lot ta him, even in the short time it lasted. Like I said. I doubt he's had many people be nice ta or give a damn 'bout him before you, me, and some of the others here.

[Sad to think Slaine got treated better on the Spurder Station than at home.]

Like... did he have anyone his own age as a friend before ya? Like, besides maybe his princess? Fuck, I dunno if she's even around the same age as him.

Woah! S'like I stepped inside one of those real old TV's!

[Don't mind the brightly colored Zombie intruding on your holodeck. She stands out even with the champions suit on again today as well as her red jacket on over it all. Well, that and the fact she seems to have nabbed the butterfly mask from Lucina's room and is wearing it.]
