[Two weeks in, and all at once four people are dead. Chitose, Miki, Lucina, and Tsurugi - whatever the circumstances, however any of you may feel, their rooms are just as empty at the end of the week. If you check your P.I.P.s, you'll find that their pictures on the profile page have gone monochrome.

C.E.C.E.'s morning announcement comes like clockwork on Sunday. This time, though, there's an addendum to her usual message:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[In addition to the new floor, the Champions will find that they've gained another memory this week.]

[He pats her shoulder one more time and then lays his black fatigues in his lap, withdrawing a bit to twist his hands idly together.]

I mean... I liked her. [Sorry, Zombina, he's still hung up.] Most of us did, right? But it was only a couple weeks, so it's not like we... there was a lot we didn't know about each other.

[He slides his palm across the back of his hand to wrap around his wrist instead, as if to steady himself.]

If we'd had more time, maybe we'd have... I don't know. [He sighs.] It's not like I've never fallen in love or anything before, but I've never... felt exactly the way I did when I was with Lucie. ...And I'll never know if she felt the same way.

...... Well.... It happen's ya know. Love's real fuckin' weird man. Ya see people fall in love quickly, real damn slow, fuck, sometimes with multiple people.

[She would probably fall into the first and last category SHOVING THAT THOUGHT TO THE BACK OF HER HEAD WHERE IT BELONGS. She shrugs.]

Ya don't hafta know all about someone ta love 'em. Love at first sight wouldn't be a thing if that was the case. Honestly... I dunno if ya want ta take my word for it, but I really do think she liked ya back.

[Zombina sighs.]

.... Though I guess there's no way ta ask her unless one of us winds up dyin' anytime soon. Which is not happenin', 'kay?

Good, 'cause I'm holding ya too it too! 'Cause I'm pretty sure Lucina-chan would kick ya ass if ya died just ta ask that question!~

Oh, man, she'd destroy me. She does--did way more strength training than I ever could, she could probably pick me up and throw me straight back to the world of the living.
