Week 3

[Two weeks in, and all at once four people are dead. Chitose, Miki, Lucina, and Tsurugi - whatever the circumstances, however any of you may feel, their rooms are just as empty at the end of the week. If you check your P.I.P.s, you'll find that their pictures on the profile page have gone monochrome.

C.E.C.E.'s morning announcement comes like clockwork on Sunday. This time, though, there's an addendum to her usual message:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[In addition to the new floor, the Champions will find that they've gained another memory this week.]

[if only it were so easy. Thanks to said grace akira keeps vaulting over the booths to try and cut Prompto off]

No escape~

[He whines and skids to a stop behind a table, eyes darting around for an escape route. Then--]

Y--you'll never take me alive!

[And he twists the top off a pepper shaker and throws the contents into the air. SMOKESCREEN--well, no, not really. MAYBE AKIRA WILL SNEEZE AND HE CAN SLIDE PAST HIM.]

[akira, moving too fast to stop, gets a face full of pepper. Thankfully due to his glasses none get in his eyes. But he does give a startled squawk and starts spiting.

Now's your chance bro!]

Hey there, opening!

[He baseball slides past Akira, scrambles back to his feet, and takes off once more, cackling and then coughing because oh god why did he throw pepper everywhere HE'S SO DUMB. But he's still running, at least.]

[Prompto gets his headstart, but akira is on his heels, his glasses tossed into one of the tables rather then taking the time to wipe them down.

He's laughing his ass off]

[Prompto skids again at the exit but immediately zigs to the right and then zags to the left, bringing them to:

The zero-gravity room.

The gravity's still normal for now, as Prompto, ah, promptly starts clambering up a ladder.]

Do you even need your glasses?!

I'm a little farsighted. I just like how they look.

[he saunters in, lazily hooking his foot in one of the ladder prongs.

And hits the gravity switch]

[Cat and mouse, was it? Well, Prompto squeaks as up and down cease to have any meaning and he loses his grip, awkwardly flailing as he floats ceiling-ward.]

Fuck!

[le_mat]

[akira pushes off the prong he held onto, drifting over to Prompto]

Poor Prompto. Now I have to think of a fitting revenge...

[there's just enough playfulness in his voice to show he's just teasing. And just enough sadistic glee to cause worry]

[Whiiiiiine. Prompto makes some desperate swimming motions to try to get away, but without anything to push off, he's a sitting birdbeast. He curls up small instead like a little lima bean.]

Wh-what're you gonna do to me?

[he considers backing off: after all, he didn't want Prompto legitimately afraid of him. Or, to be honest, Akira didn't. The part of him that was Joker, was Arsene, always liked it a little. Liked when the Shadows whimpered and begged at gunpoint. When the people on the street whispered about him in equal amounts fear and awe.

"Kill them however you wish. Run wild to your heart's content!"

He liked it a lot. But unlike the adults whose twisted desires he stole, Akira knew who and what he was. He could still choose better.

So he floated forward, grin wide...

And jabbed his fingers into Prompto's sides, tickling]

Vengence!!

[Don't worry, 'Kira; if Prompto were legitimately afraid, you'd know it.

He does scream, though.]

EEEYEEEEAAHHHH!

[Help help he's being done a murder! Laughing helplessly, Prompto covers his sides as best he can and kicks his leggies uselessly. It does nothing. Zero escape.]

HAHA--HAHAHA, DUDE, PLEASE! PLEASE, I'M INNOCENT! I'M TOO--I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE IN A GIRL'S SHIRT! HAVE MERCY!

[le_mat]

[he keeps it up for a bit before letting Prompto go]

There are worse things to die in.

[Prompto floats limply in relief, trying to catch his breath, then swats weakly and good-naturedly at Akira.]

I'd rather live in a girl's shirt, thanks. Even if they aren't very warm.

[le_mat]

Remind me later and I'll grab you my blazer. We're close enough in size.

Really?

[It'd probably be a teensy bit big on Prompto, but doesn't that make it cuter, 'Kira?]

Osomatsu has a jacket I just remembered is mine, but I, uh. You know. Don't wanna bother.

[damn straight it would be]

Yeah, I never wear it here so might as well make it useful.

And I wouldn't wanna try and barter with Oso-san either.

[Who could have i m a g i n e d the Champion Inner Child could be petty? Everyone. Everyone could imagine that.]

I bet he would've traded it for more of the whiskey I got, but forget it.
