Week 3

[Two weeks in, and all at once four people are dead. Chitose, Miki, Lucina, and Tsurugi - whatever the circumstances, however any of you may feel, their rooms are just as empty at the end of the week. If you check your P.I.P.s, you'll find that their pictures on the profile page have gone monochrome.

C.E.C.E.'s morning announcement comes like clockwork on Sunday. This time, though, there's an addendum to her usual message:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[In addition to the new floor, the Champions will find that they've gained another memory this week.]

I have another one in my room. I'll bring it over once we're done with this one.

[ yuri's gonna start with a banana! easy to peel, more so than some of the other fruits. he bites into it and chews for a few seconds. ]

You play guitar?

[Karamatsu nods as he picks the guitar back up, brushing off the body even though there's nothing on it. Yuri might notice that it's scratched in a couple places, and all the strings are different colors from being replaced so often.]

I do. This is my own acoustic from back home...it showed up in the dumbwaiter this morning, so I have been busy getting her back up to speed today.

[quadjumps]

...Why are all the strings different colors?

[ HE HAS TO ASK, okay. it makes the guitar stand out, at least? ]

Play something.

Ah- well...I have had this guitar for many years, and I am often snapping the strings on accident. I do not always have the money to buy the same kind each time, so they are all a little different. I think it gives her character.

[He doesn't question Yuri's demand, he just immediately launches into a song. A rather punchy, upbeat sounding one.]

[quadjumps]

[ yuri doesn't say anything in response and just listens to karamatsu work his magic. the song is...enchanting. it's soothing to the soul. yuri takes more bites from his fruit, and then takes out his phone again. karamatsu may think yuri isn't listening, but then..

once the song is over, yuri shows karamatsu his phone.

he's recorded the whole thing! ]

[Karamatsu hadn't been bothered by whether Yuri was paying attention truly or not, honestly. It was nice to just be able to play with someone in communal silence. But when Yuri shows him his phone...he's taken aback by the recording.]

You...oh.

[quadjumps]

Yup.

[ he says it casually, and then brings his phone back, fiddling with it a bit before putting it away in his pocket. ]

If you ever get your phone back, send me your number and I'll text it to you.

[karappo]

[Karamatsu is honestly touched, even though he doesn't own a cell phone. But he could just give Yuri Todomatsu's number...later.]

I...I will make sure to do that, thank you. I have never quite had anyone take an interest in my music as you and the others have, Yuri-kun.

[quadjumps]

Thought I'd bring something back with me from space when I get out of here.

[ a souvenir, basically. who knows when he and karamatsu would meet again....not like he'd tell him that he's worried about that, of course. ]

Can you play anything else?

[karappo]

I can play quite a few things. I learn by ear, so it depends on what it is.

I already know how to play quite a few of Ozaki's works, but...that is because he is my favorite musician.

[He even dresses like the guy with the black jacket and shades and whatnot.]
