Week 3

[Two weeks in, and all at once four people are dead. Chitose, Miki, Lucina, and Tsurugi - whatever the circumstances, however any of you may feel, their rooms are just as empty at the end of the week. If you check your P.I.P.s, you'll find that their pictures on the profile page have gone monochrome.

C.E.C.E.'s morning announcement comes like clockwork on Sunday. This time, though, there's an addendum to her usual message:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[In addition to the new floor, the Champions will find that they've gained another memory this week.]

Enough for everyone, I guess? One big pot. We can have bread and stuff too, there’s a real kitchen now.

Yeah! Probably not everything you could ask for, it's got some kinda 1950s American diner thing going. But a lot of basic stuff's there, so you could probably work it a lot of different ways.

It sounds like a good place to keep yourself busy, especially...

Mmm. Yeah.

It's good, I think we've got a lotta stress cookers. Here, we have to use this warp pad thing to go up - honestly, I keep thinking of it as the second floor, but for all we know it could be right next to this one or something.

...Are the stars the same as they are on the first floor?

[theundertaken]

...man, you know, I didn't even think to compare them. Let's do it now.

[batfortheprincess]

All right. ...Do you have a camera?

[theundertaken]

No? Has that thing been giving other people cameras?

[batfortheprincess]

I don't know, but Yuri had gotten his phone back, so I thought it wouldn't be out of the question...

[theundertaken]

That'd be pretty nice, honestly...

[He goes towards the nearest window, leaning up against it.] I dunno, just pick a star or three and see if they're over there too. We don't gotta compare all of it at once.

[batfortheprincess]

Right. [He'll take a look outside the window too and eyes a bright, red-tinted one. It's conspicuous enough.]

Okay. I'm ready.

[theundertaken]

Okay. You have to stand on the pad and type in the floor number you want...

[He waits until Slaine is watching to input the number, and off they go!]

...and here we are!

[He's attentive enough while the warp pad's being activated and he just blinks at the shift in his surroundings. It's still kind of weird to him...]

The layout is similar to the first floor, correct?

[theundertaken]

Yeah, same curvy hallway and all that. We've got more rooms, though, since there's no dorms up here.

[He goes to the window to peer out.] Huhhhh. Looks the same to me.

So we could be above or below...

[Unless it's literally the exact same in which case uh.]

I guess it'd have to be really far apart, for us to be able to tell a difference. The stars are too far away. Don't know why they have us use a teleporter, though, and not just an elevator or something.
