Week 3

[Two weeks in, and all at once four people are dead. Chitose, Miki, Lucina, and Tsurugi - whatever the circumstances, however any of you may feel, their rooms are just as empty at the end of the week. If you check your P.I.P.s, you'll find that their pictures on the profile page have gone monochrome.

C.E.C.E.'s morning announcement comes like clockwork on Sunday. This time, though, there's an addendum to her usual message:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[In addition to the new floor, the Champions will find that they've gained another memory this week.]

[He doesn't say anything at first when he spies him in the diner, carving/gutting/making a mess of pumpkins that apparently everyone got. Kaiba disappears for a few minutes and returns with a...with a...well it's a pumpkin in name, although it's definitely more of a squash. It's also ugly as sin.]

In case you want to make something of this as well. I have no use for it.

I don't think it's actually a pumpkin. [n-not that he cares or is put out about it or anything, baka] Pumpkin pie? A stew?

...Are you going to make jack-o-lanterns when you're done with them?

I was thinking stew, yeah. This place already has pie. If nothing else I can roast the seeds.

As for Jack-o-Lanterns... Maybe. You think that might be too much?

['too much' he asks the lord of extra] It might at least provide some entertaining decoration, up until they rot. If we find out it's February or some other inappropriate month for them, I'll have a hearty laugh anyway.

Although now I do have to wonder if there's any kind of date in here that corresponds to the outside world...

Well, the date is based on the sun and the rotation of the earth so... Probably only if they keep a clock here and enforce following the same time, I guess? CECE seems to still follow a 24 hour day at least.

It's just very...festive and seasonal, I have to wonder if it's October. [NOT FOR ANY IMPORTANT REASON OR ANYTHING] But even if we were given dates here, they wouldn't necessarily have to correspond to anything. It's been some time, but it may only have been days outside. Hours, even; who could say?

No way of knowing. Last I remember it was about that time of year- but I'm missing time already so who knows? We should just do whatever we want.

Whatdaya think I should carve?

Hm...friends? Animals? I could show you some of the monsters in the cards I duel with; some of those would add a ferocious feel.

I dunno I could manage people. Monsters might be cool though.

They needn't be realistic, and if we go for something recognizable... [Here, let him get out his handy dandy deck of cards and shuffle through them. There are...a lot of dragon monsters. So many dragons. Dragons yo. Also some of the trap cards look kinda creepy. Oh look there's a clown, that's topical right.]

...You could always do whatever comes to mind as well.

It's the theme of my deck. I've made alterations and variations, but the base of it will always be dragons.

Hell, you can't go wrong with dragons. Seems fitting for you.

Pride and power. I come at my opponent strong and overwhelm them. It's not as clunky and short-sighted a tactic as it may sound.

Not if you do it right. Blitzkriegs worked for a reason.

I'm more of a sneak attack guy myself.

You'd do well having a deck that relies heavily on trap cards, then. Place them face down, without your opponent having any idea what it could be except to assess the field and try to sort out what your plan could be from there.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Makes me wish we could play.

Sadly, I've only enough for one deck. [things shawna should've made a renewable out of] I could still teach the basics. Zombina even suggested I could draw up cards I remember, though that was before I got my deck back.

That seems like WAY too much work.

What about other games. Anything else you play? I'm pretty damn good at shogi.
