Week 3

[Two weeks in, and all at once four people are dead. Chitose, Miki, Lucina, and Tsurugi - whatever the circumstances, however any of you may feel, their rooms are just as empty at the end of the week. If you check your P.I.P.s, you'll find that their pictures on the profile page have gone monochrome.

C.E.C.E.'s morning announcement comes like clockwork on Sunday. This time, though, there's an addendum to her usual message:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[In addition to the new floor, the Champions will find that they've gained another memory this week.]

Nah, just wanted to try some American food.

[a slightly awkward pause:]

Osomatsu-san I... Wanna apologize for yesterday. You were right, I wasn't thinking of what everyone else had to lose.

[titularly]

[Osomatsu pauses, while shoving a french fry in his mouth, for a few seconds before he shrugs it off and grabs another.]

You were caught up in the moment s'all. Everyone was.

[le_mat]

Yeah. Everyone was running hot. But that doesn't make it okay. It won't happen again.

[he even bows his head slightly ]

[titularly]

Eh...

[Osomatsu reaches out, and lightly pats Akira's head to get him to unbow.]

No, no it's fine like.. it's whatever. I'm more angry at Prompto-kun and Yuri-kun right now, anyway.

[le_mat]

[it's a very soft head. He turns a little pink- it's easy to forget that the Matsuno brothers are adults and had every right to treat him like a kid]

You all should really talk.

[titularly]

[That gets Osomatsu to pull his hand away, and he takes a swig of his whiskey instead.]

I'll talk if they apologize first, 'cause I ain't gonna do it myself!

[le_mat]

It's not that easy.

[titularly]

Well why should I be the one to apologize, then? They're the ones who were being assholes!

[everyone was being assholes osomatsu]

[le_mat]

I'm not saying it should just be you. But you did accuse Yuri of murder- I'm not surprised that he's pissed.

[titularly]

Yeah, but I didn't mean it!

[Osomatsu takes another deep swig of whiskey, wiping his mouth off on his sleeve before he continues.]

I just did 'cause he was saying all that stuff about Chitose-chan! And I wasn't standing up for her just 'cause I think she's cute and totally wanna go out with her -- I just understand what she was going through... 'cause she tried to kill Lucina-chan because she wanted to protect "Goujou", right?

It's not like she did it just for fun or something... I almost tried to kill someone because I wanted to save my brothers, but I chickened out in the end because death is really, really scary.

[le_mat]

I'm glad you did- you know Karamatsu would have had to go through all that again only against you.

... I guess I can't really blame Chitose-san. Any of them, really. Being trapped like this, no one is going to keep their heads.

[titularly]

[That gets Osomatsu to let out a big sigh, and he sits back in his seat.]

Yeah, 'guess I'd hate if Karamatsu had to vote against me and watch me...

[Explode.]


....a-anyway, we need to figure out something, y'know? Like there's gotta be a way we can all work together and figure out how to get outta here.. 'cause otherwise they're expecting us to go through this until someone manages to get away with it and who knows how long that could take... right?

[le_mat]

Yeah. They won't make it easy- it clear they're in this for the long haul.

[titularly]

It sucks.

[That doesn't even begin to describe it]

But maybe we can all, like.. gang up on those two assholes the next time we see them or something? I mean they can't shoot all of us, right?

[le_mat]

But they could shoot SOME of us. I'm not ready to make that kinda gamble yet.

...might come to it, though.

[titularly]

[Osomatsu lets out a sigh.]

Yeah, I guess you're right. We're trying to put an end to everyone dying so that'd probably not work out well for us in the end.
