[It's your first week here, and you've been offered a fantastic prize for killing someone: an all-expense paid vacation! It's a pretty standard prize as far as reality game shows go.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), this isn't exactly a game show.

It seems that no one has died this weekend, and the deadline for the prize is now expired. There's no announcement from the Overseers to that effect; in fact, none of you have seen either of them since Tuesday. Maybe they'll make a reappearance soon, but for now, it seems that you've got a moment of peace.

If you have any ideas how to do that when that woman didn't seem to look up from it for more than a second when we met her, then I'm all ears.

A better starting point would be to figure out how to disable the cameras first. They can see anything with that shit on. We're good as dead if they caught us trying to sneak around.

As a result, any Champion caught tampering with, obscuring, damaging, or otherwise trying to "improve" or "modify" any surveillance camera, door, lock, wall, floor, ceiling, computer, air vent, or other structure or machinery will be subject to punishment by the Overseers."

I don't think punishment would be a smack on the wrist and getting sent to your room.

It doesn't say anything about getting to the control room and just turning them off.

We don't know what they count as "tampering" with though. If our definition is broader than theirs, then we're in trouble.

... But not risking things was what had her trapped in that room for months. She sighs.]

Looking for blind spots and seeing what we could use them for might be a starting point. It's got to be impossible to monitor everywhere at the same time...

How do you figure out where those are, though?

Maybe I could help with that. Cameras and angles, that's kind of my thing. I might be able to map something out.

Then we'd have some time to figure out a test to make sure we are in the clear. Maybe something that would annoy the Overseers, without falling under breaking the rules?

What do you suggest? Neither of them seems super interested in what we do, honestly.

... Maybe that's our strength, right now? If they're not interested in what they're doing, maybe we do have some wriggle room here.

Oh, that's true. ...But it's hard to say whether or not they're watching at any given time when there's no way for us to know what they're up to. And we can't get a sense of their routines at all, either. Wish we had some way to contact them so we'd have a shot at figuring that stuff out.

What if we made our own blind spots? The rules only say not to tamper with the equipment, but if we could make some sort of enclosed space, then it might be possible to evade the cameras that way.

That's not a bad idea. Or maybe we could cover up some of the cameras? We wouldn't be making alterations to them or damaging them....

[Create a blind spot instead of relying on the ones that already there.]

That may fall under obscuring them, but if we keep anything we make far enough from the cameras, then... perhaps we can claim it's an art project or something like that.

Yeah... or just say we were doing something like building a fort.

We could test it by making a couple at random or... disguising it as a group activity, like the movies.
