[The incentive this week was a pretty intense one. But spirits seemed high at yesterday's party - even Blaze Dudely participated, albeit in a weird, oblique and pretty Mozu-centric way. Maybe this Friday will be different from the last two?

Alright. Let's take a look at that wound. Was it smooth, like the cut of a blade, or ragged like something that wasn't supposed to do a stabby did a stabby.

[It looks like Mako was stabbed cleanly in the chest. There's no residue, and the wound resembles a proper blade.]

Well. Time to drift down to his hands. He looses them from the scarf and turns them over to study. Any kind of defensive wounds? Or perhaps something he might have grabbed or been hiding?

[There's some scrapes on his hands, as well as some clinging reddish dust.

While nothing's hiding in his hands, there's something sticking out of his pocket.]

Varric turns away for the time being -- noting the object in the pocket but busying himself with something else. He rips a strip from his jumpsuit and rubs it over the dust. Better to have a good comparison for the eventual strip check.

Right. Okay. Object in his pocket.

Varric's hand drifts down carefully, and he sets to pulling the object out. Tell me, Bob Barker, what did he win?]

[There are two notes here. One is longer, and the other seems to have been scribbled down on a scrap of paper.]

[Her right hand is still in her pocket. Not a great defensive position, unless there's something in there.

It's also worth mentioning that Mom's face looks like she died pissed as hell.]

Gingerly, and with a quick apologetic look at Cheryl, CT reaches out and carefully pulls her hand from her pocket. ]

She stares, mystified, at the Pokeballs for a moment, then sets them aside in favor of unfolding the paper. ]

[He's just going to stick his head in here, real quick before he goes back to the solitary cells. He just has to try, in here and see if he can get anything from the room through his empathy... and see if he can pick up anything on how this room felt when.
