[Four weeks in the Starfield Penitentiary and seven people have lost their lives to Blaze Dudely's cruel game. At some point the robots cleaned up the mess left behind and by Sunday the involved rooms (including the fridge) are all clean and free of blood. In fact there's no sign left of any of the deaths that have happened on the ship so far by at least the next day. The only physical signs that people are gone are the empty beds.

On Sunday morning, you may find that you're recovering a a few other things as well - both strange dreams and some new items.

In addition, there's a new set of doors at the end of the corridor, in the space between the infirmary and the exercise yard. Looks like you've got a new wing to explore.]

Well, now, that's a nice song.

[He smiles at her.] It's an old country song, about a woman waiting for her lover. [He doesn't really seem to care about the specific gender-based points of view in this case.]

Oh... yeah, there's a lot of those, huh? They're always real pretty, I think, even if they're sad.

[He nods, looking thoughtful.] Lots of them were written during the wars, too, where kin was separated and might never be seen again.

Yeah.

[it did take her slightly longer to respond than usual.]

You usually hear it from people back home, though. You don't really hear people wondering if there's anything to go back to.

[He looks concerned.] Is this about...the scene he showed you, when he threatened our homes?

[andneversaydie]

...yeah. But I mean...

[She shifts a bit uncomfortably.]

I think something happened back home that I just don't remember, rather than anything Blaze did.

[silverguitarhero]

[He does look concerned.] I pray you'll remember soon. And I wish there was something else I could do for you. [He looks down at his guitar.] Perhaps I can play you a more cheerful song.

...I'm not entirely sure I want to. Every time I remember something, it's all confusing and violent. I mean... there's some good parts. I think I made a lot of friends with a lot of people, but...

But... it's fine. I'm trying to keep my mind off of it. The greenhouse has helped a bit with that, anyway.

[He smiles comfortingly.] It's a good place indeed. [She didn't answer about a more cheerful song, but he starts into it anyways.]

...okay, now, that one's pretty cute. I like that one.

It's meant to be a duet, though I do recall all the lyrics. [He says as he adds the next stanza of the man's side.]

Well, I really ain't much of a singer, so I can't do much but listen.

[He smiles, accepting that, before continuing to sing, pitching his voice slightly differently for the woman's part of the song. While there's a bit of a melancholy tone to it, as it's about Vandy rejecting the singer due to loving a man int he army, there's still a tone of hope and loyalty.]
