week 4

[Four weeks in the Starfield Penitentiary and seven people have lost their lives to Blaze Dudely's cruel game. At some point the robots cleaned up the mess left behind and by Sunday the involved rooms (including the fridge) are all clean and free of blood. In fact there's no sign left of any of the deaths that have happened on the ship so far by at least the next day. The only physical signs that people are gone are the empty beds.

On Sunday morning, you may find that you're recovering a a few other things as well - both strange dreams and some new items.

In addition, there's a new set of doors at the end of the corridor, in the space between the infirmary and the exercise yard. Looks like you've got a new wing to explore.]

[He smiles.] I'm glad to see a place like this, even with the poor situation we're in.

I definitely am, too. The only problem is that it's not outside and there's no sunshine, so... you know. Could be better, but it's still nice.

[He nods.] Dirt and grass instead of this floor would be good to go along with the plants.

[andneversaydie]

Yeah, it would. Guess we can't have everything, though, right? At least we've got this if things go south on the food end again.

[The reminder of last week makes him frown.] Though if this was here, he could simply have opened it to us instead of making us worry last week. Or at the least brought the fruits to us.

[andneversaydie]

Does he really seem like the kind of guy who would, though? I mean, it would've been nice, but I basically expect nothing from that guy.

[silverguitarhero]

[A pause as he considers it.] I suppose not. He's given up his authority right quickly.

[andneversaydie]

Sure has... and there's no way the captain would take pity on us.

[silverguitarhero]

[He nods.] He seems to find delight in tormenting us, after all. Why would he want to stop it early?

[andneversaydie]

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm thinking.

I mean, it sounds like he's after something, though.

[silverguitarhero]

And that too. Though I wonder how he can have such confidence that whatever it is is here for sure.

[andneversaydie]

Yeah, I don't really get that, honestly. And why would any of us be involved with it if we just sort of got dragged here?

The only idea I can consider is that whoair he's searching for is in hiding somewhere.

[andneversaydie]

Is it a person or a thing, though? Like, he keeps calling it... "it."

[silverguitarhero]

Could be he's mad enough to call someone an "it" no matter if they're a person or not. [He does not sound amused by that concept at all.]

[andneversaydie]

...guess that could be it, but I don't know. I feel like that's... going a little too far.

[silverguitarhero]

Only other I can think of is it is perhaps some title or position, that not only one person can hold.

[andneversaydie]

Yeah, I guess that's true. Or... he just doesn't know what its deal is?

[silverguitarhero]

[He nods.] Else he'd surely be taking more caution against it.

[andneversaydie]

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I don't know, though... what makes him think it's among us?

Maybe we're not the first group he's tried to take over. [What if he's tried this more than once?]
