[Four weeks in the Starfield Penitentiary and seven people have lost their lives to Blaze Dudely's cruel game. At some point the robots cleaned up the mess left behind and by Sunday the involved rooms (including the fridge) are all clean and free of blood. In fact there's no sign left of any of the deaths that have happened on the ship so far by at least the next day. The only physical signs that people are gone are the empty beds.

On Sunday morning, you may find that you're recovering a a few other things as well - both strange dreams and some new items.

In addition, there's a new set of doors at the end of the corridor, in the space between the infirmary and the exercise yard. Looks like you've got a new wing to explore.]

Yes? It's dyed, she's not like... an anime character or something.

I didn't see a lot of dyed hair at Quantico. [He smiles. It's a little dry.]

Quantico? [ Wait, Will works for law enforcement, right? ] Is that a prison or something?

Not exactly. It's a town in Virginia where the FBI Academy is located.

[Law related, but not a prison, exactly.]

Ohhh, alright. I can see why there might not be too many punk rock people in a place like that, yeah.

Yeah. Despite what television would have you believe, the forensics team at Quantico didn't wander around in perky goth outfits with pigtails. Nor did the agents in training.

And people say TV never did anything good for anyone's public image.

[empathiser]

I suspect half the scientists there might disagree that helped their image much.

I mean... science does attract nerds, in my experience.

[empathiser]

I never claimed otherwise.

[It's said with a smile though.]

But anyone expecting perky gothic scientists consulting on their case will probably be disappointed.

Alright, fair enough. With any luck, I'll never have to worry about that, but... good to know.

[empathiser]

Unless you're planning a career change from photography to forensic science, I think you'll be fine.

Yeah, nope, just uh... just photography for me. Nice photography, after all this, at least for a little while. Maybe puppies or kittens or something.

[There's a pause.]

If I can bribe someone to bring my dogs here, you can take photos of them all you want. I'll pay you for the pictures. [His dogs are great. Pictures please.]

I'll... if they're not super messed-up, I'll do what I can.

[ She smiles. ]

Now that kind of photo job I'm totally behind.

I'm not going to ask you to if they're super-messed up. That's not something you should ever get used to seeing.

Fair warning, I have seven of them. They can be kinda over affectionate when excited.

I've seen some weird stuff, but not... like that.

[ She'll remember seeing more murder victims later :D ]

I... [He pulls a face.] I've seen enough that it doesn't surprise me.

It is if you don't fancy smelling like dog for the rest of the day. [It's a battle he's given up winning. Dog hugs are important.]

[ Part of one of her memories is gonna be a guy getting shot over and over again like ten times, it'll be great. ]

That's... I can't imagine that, honestly.

[wonderful. Try not to get hideous hallucinations and nightmares over it. Last time Will shot someone ten times he didn't handle it super well.]

It comes with the work. But getting used to it isn't a badge of honour.

Yeah, I think it's a reasonable price as well.

[ Well he only got shot once each time but she had to keep rewinding until she could figure out how to save him, to be fair. The Darkroom memory regain is gonna be w i l d. ]

It'd be kind of creepy if it was.

We can even post the pictures online, try to get them viral or something.

[So if he keeps the after eight mints, soft blanket and hershey's kisses rip offs safe he can give them to her then so she can hide under the blanket and eat chocolate until she feels better....?]

If you take the photos they're yours to do with as you want. Just give a copy of the really nice ones.

[ The guy dying ten times isn't even the worst part of the Darkroom so she'll be all about that!!! ]

You got it. I'll use the digital camera, get you a bunch of big glossy dog prints.

[maybe he'll... split the distribution of snacks and blanket between those memories then.]

It's a promise then. You'll have to start thinking about rates, and fees for it though, if you're going to do it freelance.
