[Four weeks in the Starfield Penitentiary and seven people have lost their lives to Blaze Dudely's cruel game. At some point the robots cleaned up the mess left behind and by Sunday the involved rooms (including the fridge) are all clean and free of blood. In fact there's no sign left of any of the deaths that have happened on the ship so far by at least the next day. The only physical signs that people are gone are the empty beds.

On Sunday morning, you may find that you're recovering a a few other things as well - both strange dreams and some new items.

In addition, there's a new set of doors at the end of the corridor, in the space between the infirmary and the exercise yard. Looks like you've got a new wing to explore.]

Oh thank God, I was worried they'd be... spicy or something.

I know some of the beans were. Though I suppose it's easier to grow spicy beans than make chickens that can lay spicy eggs.

Probably. Can't imagine that's good for the poor baby chickens.

Mayhap they would be adjusted to it. [And technically birds can't even taste spice, but he doesn't really know that.]

Or they'd come out as baby dragons or something.

A basilisk or cockatrice might better fit a chicken egg.

Ooh, true. But for basilisks you have to... put a frog on it, right? It's been a while since I played DnD.

I believe the legends say it has to be a toad, actually. [Although he blinks at her second comment.] D-n-d?

A toad? I guess that makes sense, they're more... gross, I guess, though that's a little meaner than I'd like to put it.

[ Oh right, people keep coming from worlds where monsters are real. ]

It's a uh... role-playing game. You get together and sort of... tell a story together, I guess, but with rules like a game. There are all kinds of monsters in it.

It may have something to do with the texture of the skin, as well. [Toads are bumpy, so that's kind of like scales? He does look interested in what she's talking about, though.]

I presume it's a story about heroes that fight against those monsters, then?

Yup! You make your own heroes, and one person, called the Dungeon Master, creates the world and plans out all the people they meet and the monsters they fight. It's super fun.
