[Four weeks in the Starfield Penitentiary and seven people have lost their lives to Blaze Dudely's cruel game. At some point the robots cleaned up the mess left behind and by Sunday the involved rooms (including the fridge) are all clean and free of blood. In fact there's no sign left of any of the deaths that have happened on the ship so far by at least the next day. The only physical signs that people are gone are the empty beds.

On Sunday morning, you may find that you're recovering a a few other things as well - both strange dreams and some new items.

In addition, there's a new set of doors at the end of the corridor, in the space between the infirmary and the exercise yard. Looks like you've got a new wing to explore.]

[ Bad as his was, he sounds sincere. ]

Did you figure out more about what worried you, at least?

[He nods a little.] Last week's worry was resolved. And this week I recalled my wife, and I now know quite well why she's on the list of things I like. [Look at that affectionate smile on his face. Look at it.]

I kinda want to hear about her.

Oh, she's a strong girl. She lived all alone on Hosea's Hollow, where not even the Indians dared to venture for fear of the monster Kalu. But she feared him less than she feared Shull Cobart. He had a black fiddle of his own, one I reckon he'd dealed with the Other for.

Sounds like a hell of a woman.

[ ... there are a lot of words he's not understanding here. but he can guess a few things: john's got monsters in his world, and black fiddles are a big deal. other? he's not sure. ]

Your world sounds like a hell of a place, too.

I suppose. The other worlds I've heard of are stranger to me, but I'm not familiar with them, after all.

Believe me, I get what you mean. My world doesn't even have cows.

[ ... yeah, that's what he's focusing on. ]

...where do you get your meat and milk from, then?

[nightcure]

Meat comes from any animal. Milk comes from sheep.

[For some reason, it feels even odder to know that they do have sheep, but not cows.] Are you sure you do not simply call them by some other name?

What, cows?

[He nods.] Or at least some wild creatures that resemble them, even if you've never learned to tame them.

Maybe, but probably a lot of our animals look more like monsters than... whatever it is the rest of you guys are used to.

[He nods.] Is it strange, to know the creatures you see everyday would be monsters to others?

[nightcure]

Hey, even we call 'em monsters.

But... yeah, I guess it's pretty weird knowing that people here have never heard of them.

[silverguitarhero]

It is. I must wonder a bit what other creatures are unfamiliar to you, then?

[nightcure]

Huh... well, there's ostriches.

[silverguitarhero]

[A bit of a chuckle.] I've never seen one with my own eyes either, actually.
