Week 1

[After the initial introduction of the Overseers on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Jamie and Bolton came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.

On Monday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing "office hours" for Bolton in the library and Jamie in the art room every day from here on out.

They did say it was an experiment. That means they can only guess the outcome.

They have to get bored if nothing happens, and this has to be costing someone money.

Indeed. Playing their game would only encourage them to continue their plans.

So we'll just wait it out. It'll be a bit awkward to explain when we do get back but it's the best course of action.

[She winces.] I do. There'd never be an idea time for this nonsense, but they've chosen a really bad time. And I'll have to explain this to the authorities... [She wasn't looking forward to explaining any of this.]

You could simply tell them you were abducted for some time, if they would not understand the complete circumstances, could you not?

They'd want to know more than that, especially if the police were to get involved.

I suppose they would. Perhaps some of the people here could give testimony without revealing all that happened. [Probably...not him, though.]

I suppose there's no way of knowing till we get to that point. [She sighs again.] ...I'm going to get a drink, I don't trust that thing to make one for me.
