[After the initial introduction of the Overseers on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Jamie and Bolton came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.

On Monday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing "office hours" for Bolton in the library and Jamie in the art room every day from here on out.

It does, although I still find it somewhat inaccurate. I do not actually feel hunger during that time, after all, which most voluntary fasters do.

[Well, the movie's starting.]

Those buildings are quite tall.

Human greed is astounding, really. It's not really a surprise. Those with power and wealth tend to enjoy staying there.

[ A bit cynical, but... Unfortunately true, from his perspective. ]

And it seems there is the metaphor of height here, as well.

[Freder and Maria appear on screen.]

Ah. The actual heroes of the tale, it appears. [They have names, after all.]

Most likely a romantic coupling, given their introductions...

[ He did not catch the height thing at first, but now he sees it. Preparing the wealthy for a fall from opulence, then? ]

This is... Indeed going to be interesting.

[He watches as Maria leaves, and then as Freder begins to follow her.]

Ah. I believe this is where the conflict begins. The younger generation learns of the sins of their ancestors, and the price of their luxuries.

A good lesson to learn, that. And at least he learned it relatively early in the film.

[ ...He's very much liking this movie. It's a very good thing to think over. ]

And it seems that he is choosing to do something about it, as well. And now he must face the true nature of his father. [A pause, when Fredersen receives the maps.] Well, that cannot be good.
