[After the initial introduction of the Overseers on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Jamie and Bolton came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.

On Monday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing "office hours" for Bolton in the library and Jamie in the art room every day from here on out.

It's a little weird to think that means us, but I guess you're right.

That's a reason why rule six makes me wonder. There must be some kind of safeguard, failsafe, something that protects the Overseers or at least makes them think they're protected. Apart from pitting us against each other, uniting against a common enemy is just as likely.

Well, if nothing else, they don't spend all their time in here with us. If things get dangerous for them, they have the ability to retreat.

Still, more or less locking yourself in a room with a potential murderer is a high risk to take, especially when one rankles the way he does.

Good point. Although... that could just mean he personally has a way of protecting himself.

[Maybe he's called Bolton because he can SHOOT BOLTS OF LIGHTNING FROM HIS FINGERS.]

A personal forcefield? Kinetic barrier? I don't think they'd want to give us too many details in case someone tries to work around it, but it wouldn't hurt to ask Jamie.

Yeah, that could be worthwhile. It might even be something other people could use, assuming they cooperate.
