Week 1

[After the initial introduction of the Overseers on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Jamie and Bolton came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.

On Monday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing "office hours" for Bolton in the library and Jamie in the art room every day from here on out.

I'm not here to lecture you. I don't LIKE the idea, but right now I'm not in the position to judge morals- I simply want to know the basics. If this is what has been done to us, understanding it is paramount.

Well, the way I do it is I reach in with magic--thrust my hands inside your body. Through your chest, for example. And I manipulate the shape of your memories. I could remove something traumatizing, for example, or if you were unwell enough, put you in a healthier body. As example, that is.

[ He's hinting that this is the intended application, even though it's not. Gotta make himself seem better than he is. ]

However... I do not have access to that right now. I can't even check the shape of my own memories. It's bothersome. So it's quite possible they did alter the shape of our memories, perhaps even using my own notes.

[He tries not to show any distaste at the idea, but the stress lines between his eyes deepen as he fights down the wince]

Are there after effects or signs someone could notice?

...Unfortunately, not that I've ever noticed.

[ Not unless he could feel the soul itself. ]
