Week 1

[After the initial introduction of the Overseers on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Jamie and Bolton came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.

On Monday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing "office hours" for Bolton in the library and Jamie in the art room every day from here on out.

Enjoy your week, Champions.]

I've heard tales of griffins, but they are not native to Nohr- and never any stories of griffins who can speak. So I'll take this as a rare opportunity.

Stories? What do they say? [He sounds genuinely interested.]

That in lands across the sea, some soldiers tame griffins for battle. Like how wyvrns and falicorns are trained in Nohr- though due to their size and ferocity they would just as often turn and eat their rider if they weren't carefully raised from an egg.

They tame griffins? [He draws back for a moment, looking shocked, before reflecting.] I suppose that if they do not speak, they may be more like any other domesticated creature, then.

[Yeah Xander, maybe telling him that you've heard of people riding similar creatures around like ponies wasn't exactly the most polite thing. He looks a little unsure]

Yes, as far as the stories tell they are just normal beasts. Like the difference between a wyvern and a true dragon- one is an animal, the other isn't even though they look very much alike.

Hopefully you can tell the difference. [A pause] I am, as far as I can recall, the last of my kind. If it is possible, I would still like to see one of those other griffins. [Just to know there are other creatures similar to him...]

If we escape this I wouldn't mind a trip to find them. I have always wanted to see one for myself.

When we leave, we should make further plans. There are others whose worlds I would wish to see more of.

Sounds good to me- once things have calmed I will set to work hiring a ship.

[After the war. After a lot of things]

I look forward to it.
