[As with the weeks before, life in the Fantasy Sweet returns to something resembling normalcy with shocking efficiency. The second floor rest area and Adventure Zone Death Orb Room are spotless again, the demon glitter has been vacuumed, the deflated orbs have been replaced. It's like none of it ever happened, like three more friends aren't dead and stored away in the guest house morgue.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

Of course I came! [She squeezes back, looking up at Nari with bright eyes and an even brighter smile.] Why would I pass on the chance to spend time with you?

[CECE, HER POWERS ARE BACK please don't mind a suddenly very warm redhead as she's struck a bit speechless.]

So you like spending time with me? I was actually afraid to ask. I don't know how busy you are, and this could have been a huge interruption to your evening, but still I'm glad you came even if it's just to say hi. I mean you could have so many other things lined up like a night of reading or keeping Kipper from sticking his hands in things he shouldn't have them in...

[She'll keep talking if you don't stop her.]

Na- Nar-. [She tries to interrupt her a few times but when she keeps talking she removes her hands from Nari's and reaches up to cup her face instead.] Nari. [She giggles a little, rising up on her toes despite her heels to look her in the eyes better.]

Yes, I like spending time with you and no, you're not interrupting my night. I think Mr. Larimer can handle not sticking his tongue in any outlets tonight without me to babysit him. [...] I swear that was not an intentional innuendo.

[This girl is a nervous rambler. Though having her face touched does shut her up really fast. She leans down to close some of the distance between them, a sheepish smile on her face.]

Sorry... [She laughs at that comment.] Rainbow, this place was made for innuendos. You can't escape them.

[She lingers for a few seconds longer than she probably should but she does eventually drop her hands with a laugh.]

It's a curse and I'll never be able to break it. For the rest of my life I'll be making the worst accidental innuendos.

I want to but in the context of this conversation I'm not sure I do. [She takes Nari's hands again, doing the slow circle rub on the backs like she did onntheir first date.] So I'm guessing you're feeling better? I know last week was, uh, rough to say the least.

His friends sound like a wild ride. [Especially Tucker.

It's such a soothing gesture that she does start relaxing more.] I... talked with some people last week. It helped. It was mostly not having my powers that... scared me. As much as I hate them, I couldn't handle the thought of someone else being forced to have them. This week? Despite everything... I got a good memory back.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. [She lifts Nari's hand to tpuch it to her own cheek, looking up at her over the top of her glasses.] What did you remember?

[CECE SHE'S TRYING NOT TO OVERHEAT YOU

A big smile crosses her face.]

I remembered my cat, Cream!

[SHE'S AN ALIEN, SHE'S FINE]

You have a cat? That's great! [She's never seen one but she's reasonably sure they're cute.]

Yes! And she's the sweetest little thing! I named her Cream because she's cream colored. She has gorgeous blue eyes that make the sky and water look gray. And her purr? That's something I could listen to all day!

[Can you tell she loves her cat?]

[Cece goes very quiet all of the sudden, staring up at Nari with wide eyes for a long few seconds after she finishes talking.]

...Sorry, you're being so cute right now I think my brain short circuited for a hot minute.

People....usually start ignoring me the moment I say the word cat....so thanks?

You love your cat. I think it's charming when people get excited about things they love.

[She turns her head slightly, just barely touching her lips to Nari's wrist.] But I feel like you didn't just invite me here to talk about Cream, much as I'd love to hear more about her.

Well, now you know why cats are listed as a like for me?

[Did her heart stop? Probably. For a second.] I-I-I missed karaoke night! But I didn't want to sing for everyone....... Just you.

[theundertaker]

[Did I say she'd be fine? Because her face suddenly feels a whole lot hotter.] Just me?

[DOES SHE HAVE TO COOL YOU DOWN BECAUSE SHE WILL]

Yeah. That's okay....right?

[NAH, IT'S COOL....SHE'S FINE, THIS IS FINE]

Y-yeah, yeah! Of course it is! I'd love to hear you sing.

I'm not that great at singing things besides hymns and drinking songs, but I'll try my best!

[She doesn't want to pull away, but she does, heading to the stage. Fiddling with a few things, she stands up on the stage, gripping the microphone as if it were a lifeline. The song starts up and Nari just goes for it.

Which means at one point she is probably way too into this and starts bouncing in place and looking at everything but Cece because lol nerves.

At least when the song ends she has her attention back on the other woman. Nervously waiting for a reaction.]

[Cece took a seat on a bar stool when Nari got up to sing and through the whole thing she sat with her ankles crossed and her hands on her lap. When the song finishes she looks so starstruck that, if she were a more rock-based species, she's have actual stars in her eyes. After a moment of just staring a wide grin breaks out across her face and she starts clapping so hard it makes her hands ache.]

That was so good!!!

[Oh gosh another moment of silence... Which is thankfully broken by applause. Nari lets out a sigh of relief, almost dropping the mic.]

I'm glad you liked it. I was worried the song would be a little too....... Romantic?

[It's supposed to be... But she'll try and deny that.]

No, no, it was...it was perfect. [Cece's grin softens a little and she glances down at her hands, extending her fingers and wiggling them just a little. She looks like she's contemplating something and she is.

Something important.]

...Nari, can I ask you something?

[Nari steps off of the stage, walking over to Cece with a curious expression.]

Sure. What's up?

What...what do you think I look like? Under this. [She gestures to the hardlight projector around her neck.]
