After everything that's happened, especially the shock from the giddy joy of Thursday night to everything that happened on Friday, Queenie is more determined than ever to make sure everyone can find some joy in this place. Which finds her determined and busy most of Saturday evening, after crying herself out, and all day Sunday. Anyone that tries to stop her or insist maybe there's something else she should or could be doing will be told that she's got something in mind, it's going to be fun and no one should worry about her, thank you very much.

One of the small tables from the dining room is missing, along with it's chairs. They have now taken up residence in a quiet corner of the garden. She's taken one of the pink sheets from the 2nd floor rest area and made it into a tablecloth, set out candlesticks, and relocated a rose or two into the area. Jars and additional glasses from the kitchen are scattered around, glowing a soft, delicate blue light from dancing flames that give off heat but do not burn.

Every day this week a different couple will find memo mice seeking them out.

The pleasure of your company has been requested in the garden this evening at 7 o'clock. Follow the lights for fine food and better company.

The food will be served by magic and Queenie will do her best to keep as much distance as possible, giving everyone their privacy. While the main dishes will vary there will be two things consistent, night to night. Excellent wine from the bar upstairs and a rich, decadent chocolate mousse topped with hand whipped cream and glazed strawberries.

Ah. Alright then. [She seems casual about but also a little relieved? Hm.] Good to know.

The network isn't that creative in the naming department. I've heard Airlocked! was only supposed to be a working title but then it just kind of stuck.

I'm still happy for everyone else. As long as they respect my choice, I'll respect theirs.

[But she'll still question certain pairings.]

Kipper told me how it got the name... I'm glad we don't have airlock executions.

Mhm. It's different from what I'm used to but then again we're a little different when it comes to relationships.

...Me too. In the earlier seasons those were, um, not great to watch even when I thought they weren't real.

Mine is... More following a good example of a stable relationship I've been witness to. I've never dated myself, but I hope I can find someone as loyal and kind as my two best friends are with each other.

That's sweet, following your friends' example. With us, both my parents' species, we have really long lifespans and in a lot of cases our partners don't. So I was always taught to cherish the time you have with them.

It was and it wasn't. The twist of the last season was that they were in a virtual reality the whole time and their dead friends were only comatose, not dead.

If I had someone like that, I'd let them know every day how much I cared about them. Well... if I ever told them in the first place. I'm not too good at the confessing bit. I swear, I'm going to die alone at the rate I'm going, and there's no one to blame but me.

[Comatose....] .... the people here... are they comatose or are they actually dead?

Dead. Definitely dead. Even with the nanobots... [But maybe...No. Don't get people's hopes up, Cece. She averts her eyes down to the table but reaches out her hand across the table, offering it palm up to Nari.]

But you wanted to know about the purple tears, right?

Good.... [That's a relief. Still creepy keeping the bodies in such a strange state, but... Nari blinks before taking Cece's hand.]

Yes, but only if you're comfortable with telling me.

Genetic mutation. [She smiles.] A very minor, harmless genetic mutation. I like to think they make me seem just a little cooler than I actually am.

Seems we have that one thing in common, but yours is much nicer than mine. And I think you're plenty cool. A lot of people here would agree with me on that one.

Whoohoo, mutant pride~. [She hums a little, rubbing her thumb in a small circle on the back of Nari's hand.] Well, if you guys think I'm cool I'm just going to have to believe it, huh?

[That little gesture is enough to make her heart start racing.] Y-You don't have to believe it, but we'll still think it.

Why wouldn't I want to believe it? You're all amazing in your own ways, you're different, you're individuals- [She catches herself gushing and stops, blushing.] I mean-

I got excited and forgot where I was going with that.

.... [She frowns, leaning across the table as much as she can.] Why wouldn't we be individuals? What, did other aliens believe we were like the Borg or something?

No, no. It's just where I grew up individuality...well, it's complicated but uniformity is the status quo. You're supposed to look a certain way and act a certain way and contribute to society vutonly in certain ways.

But you humans, you get to choose. You get to look how you want and learn what you want to learn and you're all so different. I just...I really admire you. [She's been leaning in closer as she talks, bright-eyed and animated. It takes her a moment to realize she's practically nose-to-nose with Nari.]

I, um, general you. Not that you're not amazing! But- um. [Dammit.]

[Hearing that makes Nari wonder if Cece became an intern on purpose to get away from all that. She doesn't say anything to that effect, instead suddenly intensely focused on not breathing too hard on Cece. She's so close..]

Well... To me you're wonderful... And humans? Despite our individuality, there are those who would try and force us to be the same... Individuality is a double edged sword, but I would never trade it for anything, and neither should you.

I'm- yeah. I don't think I ever could, not now.

[Cece doesn't make a move to back away despite her second thoughts. Nari isn't trying to back off, so this must be okay...right?]

Your eyes, they're, um. Even prettier close up.

[It's fine. If it wasn't, Nari would have moved away when Cece got closer.

She has a blush crawl onto her cheeks, somehow remaining calm otherwise.]

Thanks? Sometimes... I think I like the blue one more than the green one, and vice versa. Is that weird?
