[Just like the previous week the status quo is restored with frighteningly quick efficiency. PAL still makes the morning and night time announcements through the PIP on each Champion's arm, and still the Champion unitards are freshly laundered and re-hung each morning in their closets. Even the glass roses Choromatsu and Takumi broke after the trial in their fit of anger have been replaced with fresh ones. All signs that there was anything amiss this weekend are completely gone.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

[ But she certainly doesn't seem mad about it. ]

The blindfold you probably decided on to begin with but when did the strawberry come into it?

And I knew he was gonna argue about just kissing you.

[ She huffs out a laugh and drops her face into her hand in about the most long-suffering way imaginable. ]

Ah, I should've known Arianna-chan had something to do with it.

Was, um... was it really that obvious?

[ yes, she still believes that on the heels of the footrub and oujo-sama that there was a chance anyone might have suspected otherwise. ]

Honey... I'm used to being able to read minds, I'm really good at picking up the subtleties between people.

[Reassuring and - grinning wickedly.]

[ Lord. She probably walked right into that one for opening this line of conversation in the first place but that doesn't stop her from going positively scarlet. It's still a bit startling to hear someone being quite so frank about this sort of thing. Especially when Yuuri herself is the butt of the joke. ]

Well, I-- it's. It's not just... that.

[ but the look on her face makes it very clear that she's spent a not insignificant amount of time thinking about it. ]

I know it ain' just that.

[That grin softens into a smile that is actually meant to be reassuring.]

Tha's why I did it, honey. I don't just mean "want" in a sexual way I mean in a romantic way. You two care about each other. And Junpei is definitely too cautious to take that plunge.

So I was just helping him along.

[ It's funny -- she's never really had to go to anyone or take advice from anyone about... this sort of thing. She's dated boys in the past, of course and though it's been a very long time it doesn't feel like long enough to leave her totally clueless.

But. ]

... So, do you think... [ god she can't believe she's about to actually say this ] ... do you think I'm probably the one who has to be a little more... forward?

Of course. [She laughs as she says it, shaking her head.]

You think a boy like Junpei is going to make the first move? Gosh, no. He'll think himself in circles for weeks.

[ she manages a little laugh ]

You really think? I don't want to come off as pushy, but...

[ well. Being forward about what and who she wants very clearly works for Queenie. ]

It's silly, maybe. But I'm so used to people saying to... wait and be careful about. This sort of thing.

Maybe it's the difference in when we come from but...

Sure propriety says wait fer marriage. Don' matter if ya never get to be with the person ya love because they get sent off ta war and don't come home.

's just like what you said about the King's Game sweetie. Just survivin ain' enough. You gotta reach out and grab onto the things that make ya happy.

[She glances across the room to where Kip is shamelessly flirting with... pretty much everyone. A fond smile on her face.]

And don't you ever let 'em go.

[ Yuuri goes a little pink -- she feels like she should protest the word love because -- well, it's very strong, isn't it?! But... Queenie's right. It doesn't matter if the word is like or love or anything in between. In the end, what matters is their mutual happiness with each other. Knowing that in each other's company, they're safe.

Her gaze drifts as well. It follows Queenie's at first, over to Kip, goofing around. Then over to Junpei. A smile creeps up on her face without her noticing. ]

... I think... you're probably right. In this kind of place... holding onto what makes you happy is the most important thing, isn't it?

We got so little to celebrate...

[She just smiles at her. Oh she saw that sappy smile of yours. Not that she can talk. Kip and Tani both make her stupid and giddy. It's... so. nice.]
