[Just like the previous week the status quo is restored with frighteningly quick efficiency. PAL still makes the morning and night time announcements through the PIP on each Champion's arm, and still the Champion unitards are freshly laundered and re-hung each morning in their closets. Even the glass roses Choromatsu and Takumi broke after the trial in their fit of anger have been replaced with fresh ones. All signs that there was anything amiss this weekend are completely gone.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

[After Ardyn?] No, actually, not in the slightest. [He sighs.] Okay. So somehow or another, PAL transferred around everyone's powers. Don't know how. So...I guess you're just a normal, regular girl now, until this is over?

Is that, uh...is that bad? You can sorta make crazy portal-y things, right?

No. I could alter technology and the flow of electricity. Hack systems easier, that sort of thing. And... if I really focused, I could create illusions. Portals though? That is outside of my subset of siren powers.

[That was far closer to Lilith than it was Angel herself. A thought that was... rather odd to have, if she was honest with herself. It was strange to think she had anything in common with the wild red head she had once guided. Strange and... a bit exciting, really.]

Illusions, right, that. Weird shit at the first trial wasn't you. So really, if someone else can do what you do, it wouldn't really hurt, right? They might just...zap themselves on the microwave or something.

Or they overload the microwave and it explodes. [She winced, hearing sounds from a decade earlier.] The life support system shorts out and we all die. PAL takes a glitch in the system as an assault and deems them in violation of the rules.

There are a lot of dangerous possibilities, Church.

On the other hand, PAL takes a glitch in the system, and he shorts out, and we all run free like wild caged animals. But point taken, I promise.

I don't think my powers are at that sort of capacity. It is... a nice thought though. Perhaps... [She pressed her lips into a thin line.] Given time, I might be able to practice focusing my powers just right. It is a risky long shot but... maybe you are on to something.

That is, of course, assuming I ever get my powers back.

I think it's a decent assumption to make, but I'm also not one that likes to get hopes up. Who knows what the fuck is gonna happen next. But if it happens, I think if you practice, it should be in the guest house. It's safer there. Relatively.

I will... speak with Kip about the possibility then. He has been nothing if not accomodating and understanding since our arrival here. At least with me.
