[Just like the previous week the status quo is restored with frighteningly quick efficiency. PAL still makes the morning and night time announcements through the PIP on each Champion's arm, and still the Champion unitards are freshly laundered and re-hung each morning in their closets. Even the glass roses Choromatsu and Takumi broke after the trial in their fit of anger have been replaced with fresh ones. All signs that there was anything amiss this weekend are completely gone.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

No.... she... [Nari swallows hard, fighting back tears.] She belongs to Mira.... my best friend... what is it doing here?

[Angel winced. Of course this would happen with Nari of all people. She had already messed things up between them once. Now this?]

I -- [She let out a sigh. She didn't want to implicate Rhys in this too, didn't want to cause problems for him just because of a well-meant gesture.]

Someone got it in the dumbwaiters. They... gave it to me as a gift. [She quickly held the rabbit out in Nari's direction.] Here. If she is your friend's, then she should be in your hands, not mine.

[Nari flinches when the rabbit is held out, as if she's terrified that Angel would hit her with it. For someone pretending to be confident all the time this was a sure sign that something wasn't alright.

It's with a lot of hesitation that she takes the bunny from Angel, pulling it close and hiding her face in it. There's a muffled sob before the redhead falls to her knees and curls in on herself.]

[That... was enough of a sight to kick Angel into gear. She slipped forward, out of her own seat, and knelt down in front of Nari. Her hands rested on the woman's shoulder, the siren struggling to fight the urge to wrap her arms around her entirely. Much as she wanted to, she hadn't missed the way Nari had flinched away the first time -- she wouldn't dare overstimulate her with an embrace just yet.]

It's okay. I'm here, Nari. I... will be here for you as long as you need me.

[Bad move, Angel. Even with her powers gone, Nari does not handle being touched while panicking very well. Angel will find herself shoved harshly away as the redhead scrambles away, not stopping till she hits the wall. Eyes are wide with terror and the bunny is being held in a death grip. Breaths come out in rapid gasps, a stare that can only be called unfocused right on Angel as if anticipating another attack.

If she still had her powers... They might have just had an early trial or a very injured Champion.]

[Being as close to the ground as they were, the shove backward does little more than knock her head against the ground and a breath from her lungs. More prevalent than the resulting pangs of soreness were the waves of fear that washed over her. When she managed to right herself, rather than going to Nari, Angel instead backed herself against the opposite wall.

It was only once she'd managed to take a few deep, calming breaths that she was able to refocus herself on the woman. Despite her renewed vigor, though, there was a note of hesitation in her voice, as if she were afraid of Nari lashing out once more.]

I'm sorry. I am... very sorry, Nari. That was uncalled for on my part. I... will stay over here, but I would very much like it if you let me help in some way..

[Nari doesn't respond for quite some time. Her breathing goes from ragged to hoarse, body going somewhat slack as the adrenaline starts wearing off. It's a good twenty minutes before she lets a whimper out.
