[Just like the previous week the status quo is restored with frighteningly quick efficiency. PAL still makes the morning and night time announcements through the PIP on each Champion's arm, and still the Champion unitards are freshly laundered and re-hung each morning in their closets. Even the glass roses Choromatsu and Takumi broke after the trial in their fit of anger have been replaced with fresh ones. All signs that there was anything amiss this weekend are completely gone.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

Mmhm. [Cece nods a little but doesn't get up just yet. Instead she lifts Nari's hand and touches her lips to the back of it.] Even if you just want to scream into the void you know where my room is, okay?

[That gets Nari to blush despite her mood.] .... I think at this moment I'd just be happy with a hug and someone telling me it's okay to be alive.

[That's the thing that gives Cece a moment of pause. Her gaze is downcast, quietly contemplating something. Finally, after a long minute, she looks up at her with a soft smile.]

I think I can handle that.

[That was a slip she didn't mean to let out. She wants to pull away and leave, but Cece...]

You don't have to. I'll be fine. Just gotta sleep this mood off.

[Too late, Cece is already wrapping her arms around Nari's neck and pulling her into a warm hug, resting her cheek on her shoulder.]

Nari, it's okay to be alive.





...And do you want to help me get into a death orb and push me down the stairs?

[There's some tension when she's pulled into the hug. Nari... honestly thought Cece would decide against it. Biting back a sob, she returns the hug.

She then laughs as she pulls back far enough to look Cece in the eyes.]

Oh? So you wanna play after all?

Uh, yeah! It looks like so much fun! And like fuck it, I'm durable. I can take some stairs to my everything.

It is fun! [Nari, you've only bumped into a wall in these things, not gone down the stairs.] Just make sure to keep as much of yourself in the ball as you can as you go down.

[Time to pick out a death orb then!] Are you gonna need help getting in?

I think I can manage. [It takes some wiggling and grunting but hey, she's in! She can't see over the top and it contains almost her entire body but she's in.]

[Cute... She nods and carefully leads Cece over to the edge. She'll go for the ice slide.]

On three.... One.... Two... Three! [And Cece has now been officially pushed over the edge.

Cece's orb rolls and bounces down the stairs, only stopped when she bounces against the still-locked front door and rolls back to the base of the stairs. When she finally stopa there's a few seconds of silence before...]

[Nari is sure to follow her down as fast as her boot clad feet will let her. Boots aren't meant for running, after all...

She makes it to the bottom, kneeling beside the ball with a huge grin.]

See? Defying death can be thrilling as hell.

[Cece looks up at her with wide eyes and an even wider grin.]

I want to do it again but I also feel like that'd be tempting fate too much. But. So fun.

Hey, it's not like I'm going anywhere. Hell.... if everyone is up for it, I could always do this again sometime. We can even make it a little safer for the skittish types.
