[Just like the previous week the status quo is restored with frighteningly quick efficiency. PAL still makes the morning and night time announcements through the PIP on each Champion's arm, and still the Champion unitards are freshly laundered and re-hung each morning in their closets. Even the glass roses Choromatsu and Takumi broke after the trial in their fit of anger have been replaced with fresh ones. All signs that there was anything amiss this weekend are completely gone.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

[A little too casual is still better than whatever the fuck yesterday had been. Having Ardyn as a roomie is starting to make it just a little harder to get to sleep, if only because he has no idea what he's going to wake up to the next day.

But he's here, in the bar-slash-karaoke club-slash-apparently a stripper stage, so either he's just exploring and poking around or he's here to actually have fun. Or to make fun of people. Which is still its own kind of fun.]

It's karaoke! [Very descriptive, Church.] It's--I uh don't actually know what the literal translation of the word is. I think it's Japanese? Maybe Nishi would know.

But it's kind of like a party game? It plays whatever music you pick, and it puts the words on the screen to follow along, but the voice is all whoever's at the mic. Good for impressing people who didn't know you could sing. Or for giving them a laugh with how hysterically drunk and off-key you are.

...Gotta wonder, though. [He hasn't played around with it yet, but he might have to now.] You'd think it'd be filled with all kinds of crazy music from the past four thousand years none of us would know, but weirder wilder shit has happened. Maybe they've got stuff from all our worlds.

That would make logical sense as a reason for any of us to bother with it. I suspect it wouldn't be much in the way of entertainment if not a single of us recognized the music to it.

Some people are pretty good at guessing melodies from music, but yeah. You do any singing?

I've some talent for it, but far from anything most would consider worthwhile.

'Some talent for it', so, what, you can dish out some Christmas carols, but you're not gonna audition for a solo in a choir or something? Can carry a tune in a bucket, but can't do anything interesting with it? Shit, man, singing is singing, and we could all use entertainment.

Of--of singing? Of karaoke? Nah. I mean, we sure didn't have a machine on base. It's just a fun thing to do when you go out with people and you decide you wanna belt out a song you know. Even better if it's one a lot of people do, get a whole crowd going.

Oh man, we could get the pigeons in here. They sing some amazing Queen without the lyrics. Because they can't form words. They just coo. But they harmonize like nobody's business. They can be my backup singers.
