Vaseline seals. So it doesn't let water or air in. Ever wash your hands after using some and find it really hard to get it off? Do you really want something like that inside of you? It can cause serious infections by trapping bacteria, too, if you're not one to wash regularly and have scratches in the skin. Yes. Though there are restrictions on what kind of burns it can be used on. It can't be an open wound, and don't use it on a burn that gives off heat. So maybe a superficial burn than anything.
