I would suggest you make good use of your free time by developing your skills. Based on the available resources, practicing something like cooking or gardening would be appropriate.

Figured Nishitani's my best bet for improvement in that area.

Given the lack of any true enemies to fight, it makes sense that he would be the best available opponent.
