Not that I haven't seen my fair share of combat, but I've never been, ah, great at hand-to-hand.

[AKA he has never won a fight and has almost definitely literally been scruffed by bigger, buffer detectives and thrown aside while they get shit done.]

Figured Nishitani's my best bet for improvement in that area.

Given the lack of any true enemies to fight, it makes sense that he would be the best available opponent.

[And it definitely sounds like he needs to do some level grinding.]
