week 1
[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.
Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.
Enjoy your week, Champions.]
[ooc: welcome to week 1, everyone! This first week is a peace week which means there will be no murder this weekend! Feel free to start submitting threads for the benefactors]
Hallway
But when she runs into him in the hallway, heading for the kitchen to start coffee she's immediately concerned.]
You alright, honey? Looks like you had a rough night. [And she may be bemoaning the loss of her sleekeazy's but his hair looks like a rat's nest.]
no subject
W-what?! I... Queenie?!
[His shallow breathing isn't as bad as it had been when they arrived, and once he realizes who it is it starts calming slowly]
Sorry... sorry.
[He looks at his feet, trying to hide his embarrassment with his mane of hair]

[She's going to very slowly, so as not to startle him, reach out and set a hand on his shoulder. Once he's had a moment to register the fact that she's touching him then she's rubbing soothing circles down his arm and back over his shoulder, hopefully easing him into not gluing himself to the wall.]
Hey... best way to forget the bad stuff is ta get yourself dolled up and ready for the day. Hard to feel anything but fantastic when you look fantastic.
[And she lifts her hand from his shoulder to brush his hair back.] Lets see if we can do something with all this, yeah?
no subject
His Mother.
He smiles weakly, nodding.]
Sure, thank you.

Your roommate still asleep? Think you can sneak in and snag a brush? Then we can go settle in the comfy room with some pillows and cocoa and get you right as rain.
[This is clearly the best way to spend the morning, and if it means helping Takumi settle into himself a bit then... it's worth waiting to start in on coffee. She's been worried about the poor boy anyway, he just always seems so flighty.]

[He slips inside, and returns quickly with a brush and his ribbons]

Used ta do this for my sister all the time. [And she pats the space in front of her.] You'll feel better with all those knots out, I promise.

My retainer usually handles my hair in the mornings. It's kinda a battle to do on my own.

[And she settles in, covering the delicate beadwork of her dress with a blanket then pulling the ends of his hair into her lap. Getting the tangles out is going to take a good chunk of time, though.]
You need to have someone take care of this or it's just going to get worse.
I don't mind if you don't mind getting up a little early.

[She's actually surprisingly good at keep a hold on the base of his hair so it doesn't pull too much.]
And if I can get my hands on some sleakeazy's it'll help an awful lot, too.
no subject
[Wazzat, he starts to turn , then catches himself and straightens back forward]

[She pauses for a moment to reach up and tug one of her curls straight with a sigh.]
Not havin that is precisely why I am so fuzzy right now. [No-Maj life is hard.]
no subject
[Being inside all the time just has a different taste to the air, even if he doesn't understand air recycling or anything that might be supplying them with oxygen other then the trees in the garden]
no subject
[And she sounds so upset by this.]
I'm getting so many split ends.

At least the soap is decent... hmmm how often do you wash this mane of yours anyway?
no subject
Usually every three days, if I'm at the castle. If we're on march or patrol it can be longer before it can get a full wash instead of just a dunk in a river. Usually not more then 5 days?
no subject
Mmkay... Some of the girls seem to be keen on washing it every day and that just seems so odd to me?
