[Other than the reappearance of the Overseer, there's no real change in the routine. PAL still makes the morning and night time announcements through the PIP on each Champion's arm, and still the Champion unitards are freshly laundered and re-hung each morning in their closets.

No other floors unlock, but Cece and Kip will still be appearing randomly to chit-chat.

... I'd ask if you're trying to pull a prank but this seems like a bit far to go for a prank.

[ and well, they're already in space. clearly, space ghosts are the next step. ]

Did it just turn up and attack you?

Yeah. It came in pretty late, after most of us were wasted. We'd already finished with strip poker, so I think half of the group was asleep.

Was anyone else hurt, or are they alright?

It got Falcon--Finn, I mean--and Ardyn, too, I think. I'm not sure, it was chaos. And then it dusted everyone nearby with glitter. And it scared Hoshido.

It's a good job some of you still had your wits... if you'd all been asleep it might've caused more trouble than it already did.

Yeah. Poor Ardyn had to be, like, our chaperone parent. Even Roland got into it. But at least now I know what kinds of drunks everybody is.

I'm a bit surprised they even sent you any in the first place. But... then again, with the sort of show this is supposed to be, I think parties and lowered inhibitions is exactly what they want.

Still a year to go I'm afraid -- or, now I think about it, probably more like a few months.

[ Not like there's anyone to stop them or arrest them when there's no government or laws anymore but they have to keep some semblance of civilized living. ]

Maybe they'll send me a bottle of something at some point and I'll know my birthday's passed.

September 25th. So, it'd just passed about a month ago the last I remember back home.

[ she doesn't have to say, of course, that none of them have any way of knowing how much time has actually passed but... well, she doesn't look or feel all that much different than she remembers. If any time has passed, it can't be that significant an amount. ]

February 8th. It still would've been a couple months until mine.

[But again, who knows?]

I remember... people were getting excited about the lunar eclipse we'll have on New Year's Eve.

What year will that be happening, then? I'll have to make sure I remember to look out for it... oh, but that's assuming we have eclipses and all that at the same time. Now I think about it, I don't even know how many of us have the same constellations or even the same planets.

It's a little strange to think about. That any one of us could look up back home and see such a different sky.

The Pleiades cluster. [ Subaru. ] The Seven Sisters.

I think it's beautiful -- especially when you see photos of it taken under the right conditions. It looks like it's swimming in stardust.

An open star cluster in Taurus. The hairy head of the White Tiger.

[Junpei, you fuckin' show-off, you didn't even recognize a Mercury symbol last year.]

So we've got that one in common, at least.

So we're probably a little closer than I was expecting. That's good to know.

Orion.

[Another bright, easy-to-spot constellation.]

He's reliable. Except in summer, you can almost always see him. And he's useful for finding other stars. A real helpful guy.
