Week 5
[It's been five weeks (
And again at 7 am on Sunday the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call there is no new floor announcement this week.
And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]
[ooc: welcome to week 5, everyone! Check-in has begun and don't forget to submit your memory regains!]

[She's... She's got her own issues to work out but she's certain of one thing. That no one is going to suffer this week. She'll make sure of it.]

...I'm sorry. I...I've been all worked up about this, and yet...I'm sure there are worse secrets. [She attempts to smile.] This is silly of me.

And I'm sure there's worse ones than mine. Yours is more important than mine. Yet here I am, raking old coals.

[Jane could be targeted by the others for not acting, for not doing enough, for not setting right what was wrong when she could. Kurumi could get killed by someone who got too scared - especially if it had been in the beginning, when they barely knew each other. They both have big targets on their backs.]

[In the beginning there were far more threats to her. Margulis, Seth...] Seth's gone. He won't experiment on me. Margulis won't do it for the greater good. Togami will just be an asshole but I can handle that.

[You look like you need a hand on yours, now, slowly rubbing the back. We need to warm you up, Kurumi.] I will absolutely punch him in the face if he says a single thing about it.

[She accepts it with a sigh. She was in a better position than Jane on that point.] I'd kick him in the groin. I'm not worried about the people here finding out. It's the Club back home. I lied to them and said the medicine was working.

[Jane tries not to bite her lip. That's...difficult. If people back home found out about what's going on here...well, Jane trusts her friends would at least hear her out, like Kurumi's done. But even if they do get upset, she can't do a thing about it until she's with everyone again. It's better not to think about it. But Kurumi doesn't have that luxury.]
...Is there nothing that can help, back home? Nothing that can...really make a difference?
no subject
[There. She's a coward and now Jane knows it. The rest of the Club had went through hell with her and she threw that trust away like an old toy.] Sorry. I didn't want to make this about me.

[Don't you pull this shit Kurumi, Jane knows where the bottled feelings road leads and it sucks.]
I don't think...anyone could blame you for being scared, or not wanting your friends to know...on top of so much else.

[Kurumi got up out of her chair, stretching.] You're right, Jane. You know what? Why don't we go to the garden?
no subject
Ah, sure...lead the way.

[Aaand here we are. A very lovely roof-top vegetable garden. Lots of tomato plants and really most things that could grow in this enviroment.]
Rii-san took great care of it.
[Totally not mentioning the cross, though.]

...It's a lovely garden. She did a good job. [A pause.] Between this and the greenhouse, I...keep wondering if I should pick up my old botanical pursuits again. I used to have a garden when I was little.
no subject
Yeah. She's a great gardener. [Too bad it all burned.] Y'know what? That's not a bad idea.
no subject
[But after Friday she's going to dearly hope that's the case.]
no subject
[So will she. Except not because she'll be dead.]
