Week 5

[It's been five weeks (since you looked at me) and with the deaths of Shadow and Rukia, the group that was initially 20 strong has dwindled down to ten. Ten people in the span of a month and, even with the Overseers seeming increase in empathy for the remaining Champions, there is no end in sight for the Champion Excellence Program.

And again at 7 am on Sunday the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call there is no new floor announcement this week.

And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

Better then being alone with my thoughts, I suppose. I promised to give Jane some formal dance practice. But other then that I have no plans until dinner.

This seems like the kind of thing you'd wear. Recognize it?

[He holds up the hat, and notices the symbol on it]

This IS the star-and-moons of Nohr! I suppose this was meant for me, though I don't recognize the costume itself...

I got it in the dumbwaiter this morning. It doesn't look like something anyone else here would wear. Maybe you just don't remember it at the moment?

Possibly. Odd though, I was given a costume that isn't mine in the dumbwaiter this morning as well.

She stares at it for a moment before taking it from him.]

What's one of my grabs doing here? And why this one? I don't have an enemy here that this would be useful against. [She then shrugs.] This does give me another outfit to wear.

[He plucks up the ears, arching a brow at her]

Got a problem with that? It gives me the ability to herd animals on top of a move called Mediguard. It's useful for things like gathering sheep up.

[Come on. Put the cat ears on, Xander.]

[He doesn't put them on, but he does hold them up a bit towards his head]

These ears are a bit short for a cat.

Cats in your world have long ears? Ours have folded ears, so maybe some other world has cats with those ears?

[seems the almost rabbit like cat that Xander accidentally permanent marker-ed onto his meeting board wasn't just artistic license.]

Yes... though I suppose like dogs they could have a wide range of ears. It still seems strange to me.

[Okay so since he's not doing it, Light grabs the ears and puts them on Xander.

[He sputters, looking a bit scandalized... which just makes him pink to match the ears]

[He sweeps the pirate hat up onto her head]

If we are exchanging headgear, this is only fair.

She reaches up and adjusts it before putting her hands on her hips. Is she supposed to be embarrassed? She's worn stranger things.]

[He tries to give a stern face, but from the beginning it never really worked on Lightning]

[She tilts her head, barely keeping herself from smirking.]

[He has a feeling he's being teased, but Lightning is keeping just enough of a pokerface he can't be sure]

It doesn't matter! If any of the girls or gods help me Togami saw this they'd never take me seriously again-!

[bylight]

[She lets him squirm just a few moments longer before reaching up and taking the ears off of his head. Then he gets a kiss as an apology.]

Well, if you would truly desire it, even a prince could be a cat, I suppose.
