and we'll raise a glass to ass in a final goodbye
The party will be held on the Thirteenth day in Fourthmonth, 6975, at New Earth's Sexbang Park.
It will be our esteemed privilege to see you again.
The invitations arrived through space and time. Some arrived months ahead, some only weeks. But the victims of Airlocked all receive an invitation marked with the royal seal of New Earth.
The same section of the park has been set aside to provide privacy. There's with every kind of food imaginable, including a food truck that purports to serve Authentic Vegetarian Flavortown Cuisine. The man running it certainly looks like he wouldn't be out of place among the colorful population of Flavortown.
The statue is still there, standing tall and proud over the fountain. The forests have grown even more lush and the gardens even more verdant in the year since you last found yourselves hosted here.
Prince Daniel, now nearly five, is eager to do his princely duty and to greet every newcomer as they arrive. His mother, beautiful as always, follows behind to supervise her son and to make sure that her guests feel at home.
Welcome back to New Earth, Champions. Enjoy your stay.
((Welcome to the one year anniversary log! Here is the OOC post with the rules, but to sum up, this log is for former players of Airlocked to dust off their beloved characters and reunite with old CR. While each character's invitation includes a +1, you're free to NPC this person or to not choose one, if the character you would choose was played by a non-Airlocked player during the endgame log.
In your toplevel, feel free to include as much or as little as you'd like about what your character has been doing over the past year! We ask that you leave all CRAUs from other games at the door, even though we are blown away by just how many of you loved your character development enough to take them with you into other games.))

[Mai gives a tiny nod and looks down. Bear-san's attempt to vacuum up ants is looking very interesting right now.]
Hard. When you never thought you'd live to now. I hadn't planned much.

[Max looks away for a moment, quiet.]
...I'm pretty shit at parties.
no subject
[You saw her. Even when she was hosting the parties.]
Sayuri is here somewhere. She's better at these things.
no subject
[Honestly, he's so bad at shit, he wouldn't even be surprised if that's a Champion he just didn't run into because he was hiding then.]
no subject
[Y'know, unlike Mai.]

[Max doesn't actually have much issue with Guy Fieri; he'd thought Blaze was alright when he was alive, and he never saw the guy as he ended up. But hell if he wants to be on TV ever again.]
He did most of the face-to-face stuff, Bolt just got one spot. Probably felt weird about it. [Having jettisoned the man out an airlock and all.]

[Mai raises her hand and waves passively over at...]

Oh, are you another friend? Sayuri's impressed that Mai gets along with so many people!
no subject
Uh, yeah. I'm Max.
no subject
...Yes.
[Sayuri beams. She's apparently used to trying to get Mai to take part in conversations.] It must have been terrifying trapped somewhere for so long.
no subject
[who even knows when he's joking or not at this point]
Yeah, it sucked.
no subject
...We didn't, either. [Mai blinks at Max.] It's true. You did help.
no subject
[So let's not. His therapist would say he should just accept other people's feelings or something like that anyway.]
So, this your first time in space? [He asks Sayuri. Technically this is a planet, but Max just sorta refers to this entire universe as "space".]

My therapist is a giant crab, that's kinda weird.
no subject
[That's instant. Sayuri giggles, used to Mai's usual response to any mention of animals.]
That would be entertaining. Sayuri's sure they must be good at their job, though!
no subject
[He still feels like garbage most of the time, but he's not dead, and he doesn't want to be rude about them anyway, so.]
And I have a ghost. Not from here though. [Say hi to Shuppet!]
no subject
It's a very cute ghost! Very unique. Sort of like a charm, right?
no subject
[She's into it! Max, meanwhile, has noticed Sayuri's fear but is probably not gonna do anything about it.]
A charm?
no subject
Yes, or a teru-teru-bouzu! They're little dolls people hang in their windows. It's a superstition to ward off rain.
no subject
[There's something to say about like, the actual video game series Pokemon there, but Max has never really figured out how to approach that kind of weird dimensional fiction shit.]
Neat. They say she eats bad emotions.
