Shall we?

[Only shortly after the other small group leaves with CECE, the four Champions left behind are approached.]

I believe that I have gained access to a place that will be of interest to you.

((OOC: This is the investigation log for Blue Team! Keep in mind that it takes place concurrently with Red Team's investigating. There will be a brief period for the two groups to reconvene before the final trial begins.))

End of Week 1

The Champions seem to be settling into the mall well enough. The new interactions between them with their closeted memories are proving to be interesting, new dynamics and all that. I’m wondering if we should have altered their simulation appearances before this but no.

Having Xander become their Overseer is so far proving to be good, I think. He’s good at following orders and trusts Price and Rox enough not to ask too many questions. Interactions with him are from when he was a mole in his season, it's...hm. I don't know. Just different.

His punishments were difficult to watch though. I’d hoped they wouldn’t try to pull something like this, especially not those two...but when have they ever done as I expected?

I think we’ll introduce the Juggalo Bots at the beginning of this new week. They’re harmless but they’ll cause enough of a stir to make thing interesting at night. Rox can tell Xander. He seems to like her.

End of Week 2

Ah. The first case. It’s-

Hm. Hm!

It’s fine. It’s just a simulation. They’re going to Flavortown, they’ll see their friends again. But I should...I should give her something when she wakes up.

End of Week 3

Xander, you idiot. Price is taking care to make sure his mind is recovering for the next day or so but going against Dracula was so stupid. Granted we should have accounted for him but if it had just been the robots it would have been much cleaner.

End of Week 4

We are just hemorrhaging season 2s at this point, aren’t we? Damn. Let's hope this isn't going to prove to be a trend of father-figures dying left and right. And we still need a motive for next week. Price has a suggestion, something "immediate"...but the only thing I can think of is not something I'd take any pleasure in doing.

...I should look in on Church soon. Let him remember something nice since he did put in an actual request.

End of Week 5

How dare you.

End of Week 6

My show has gone completely off the rails. You’d think after this many seasons I’d have a grip on how to keep things from crumbling around me. But the simulation is gone, I’m down an intern and an Overseer, they’re all essentially living above a storage unit-

It’s fine. PAL is up and running again. I had to make some adjustments to his memory chip to make him usable but if things don’t work out I can make more tweeks back to being an idiot. Irken technology isn’t that hard to figure out when it’s divorced from biotech and hivemind nonsense. I’ll get his new body online soon. It might just be leftover from one of the soap operas but it will work.

Jamie, Will and Queenie are all in the Flavortown simulation. I thought I’d give Xander some peace but Jane fixed that right up. I left him Tiki and Price’s pack bonding observations with the boons he gave out should be interesting...and if I’m being honest adorable.

But Ardyn and Choromatsu...

...Threatening to delete the other simulation may have been a mistake...I should have known Choromatsu would do anything for his brothers.

I can’t believe they tried to eat the damn icing.

End of Week 7

Climbing an elevator shaft, Junpei? Really.

Part of me wishes I hadn’t made the rules so strict. I wish I hadn’t gone so hard on the motive. But we’re so close to a finale I can’t back down now. Not with the sponsors breathing down by neck for a big finale. Not with everything riding on these final days.

No matter how much it hurts me, I have to do what’s best for my network.

End of Week 8

No.

Xander keeps showing how clever he can be when he thinks for himself. I never expected him to use the cube. I had to manually instruct PAL to put together a hologram execution so they wouldn’t suspect anything until I can find her.

I don’t know what I’ll do when I do. Can I really execute her, even after what she said about Cece? Would I have if Xander hadn’t thought ahead? I’m not sure yet. But it’s not the first time the rules have been bent.

Week 9

She’s safe. She still loves Cece. She’s with Pyrrha.

Good.

I think it might be time to prepare for the finale. I'll come back for Luscii, she's happier in her cage for the moment. The phone still charging so that can stay. Cece's things...I'll get them before the trial. They won't know but it just feels right to have them.

[This is so much to process. It talks about Cece's things... but her nickname is the password. Something about this is wrong, very wrong.

This person has to do what's best for their network... and that may very well involve killing all of them.

Pyrrha was almost afraid to click on "Flavortown Notes". But she's come this far. Might as well rip the bandaid off.

[These notes are of a much less personal nature. Just a lot of technobabble about but the words simulation, deterioration and void keep coming up. It seems like someone was trying to work out programming bugs by writing them down because it was easier than talking loudly at a bird for several hours at a time trying to find the problem.

The last lines are, however, less technobabbly:]

They're safe. I'm not sure how with all the problems that have been cropping up but they're safe again. The Good Place wasn't quite ready but it was ready enough to hold them while it compiles itself. It's building itself off of their own memories, but just the happiest ones. They'll be safe there.

I just hope they can be happy too.

[The parts that Pyrrha can understand are more than enough to bother her. "Deterioration"... "void"... it's all coming together.

Pyrrha sits back, forcing herself to commit all of this to memory. And a moment later, she begins to gather the things. It's going to be important, no matter how much it hurts.

She can only hope that Nari will be alright.
