Meanwhile, yet another new floor has opened up - the elevators are in perfect working order now, if any of you care to go and see it. That's four concourses now; one for each of your groups. There's an awful lot of dead, aren't there?]

Maybe. Cabin fever develops over time, but it's usually because of extreme isolation because there's nothing stimulating going on. He has plenty of stuff to do here...

Hmm. Frustration with that and losing Ardyn-san, maybe.

........ or he's under the influence of something. But if he's that horny on main, fuck if I want to get near him.

You mean like a sabotage or something affecting his brain?

The latter. Who the fuck knows how safe this air we're breathing is.

If it were in the air, it'd be affecting everyone. Same with the idea that it's something like a hacker crab affecting the PIPs. Whatever it is, it's only him so far.

Not necessarily. Immunity can keep you from being affected, and then there's other factors. There's people like me whose body temps run higher, making risk for illness and infection almost non-existent. Church is an AI in a 3D printed body. He probably has a weaker immunity or a unique one that makes him more susceptible.

That's true enough. I still wonder, since you'd also think that being from all different worlds, we'd already have gotten sick our first times through here.

I thought that just monitored your health, not altered it. Though if people are coming back to life and being put into stasis, maybe you have a point.

They actually can heal you faster. Xander is a prime example of that, though some wounds they can only heal to a limited extent... Like my feet in the simulation? They healed faster, but I was still left with painful scars. We...... found out that the dead are restored using those nanites. They keep working inside the dead host.

So that's how it works! And it's definitely true that nanites can mess with your personality, though the only example of that I know is just when you first get your implant.

I don't think the ones we have alter our personalities. That would make them miniature AI's, and why would they risk our "personalities" for their show? These are medical grade nanites at least, that... I think are the reason Junpei reacted so well to his new arm. Moving a prosthesis like that would take a ton of practice, but he was able to do it the next day. Nanites...... such amazing technology, but I hate what they are being used for.

So that rules out the nanites as being behind what happened to Church-san, but it does explain why we haven't all gotten sick.
