[This weekend has brought about some unusual questions about your resident robotic Overseer, but unfortunately, you've also lost two more of your own to an accidental death.

You've done your best with the star charts, but if anyone is coming to help you, there is no sign of it yet. SIS remains the only friendly face here, even as you've found that she holds her own secrets. Meanwhile, yet another new floor has opened up - the elevators are in perfect working order now, if any of you care to go and see it. That's four concourses now; one for each of your groups. There's an awful lot of dead, aren't there?]

Sir Kip was alive. Dame Queenie was alive. Rii-san... Rii-san called me her sister.

Arianna-chan... They really loved you. I just know they still do. They must be waiting for us.

I know. I know, and... I wish so badly to join them. I could not do such a thing, but the idea will not leave my mind. That all I must do is die, and I can be reunited with the people who love me.

[Yurika's breath catches in her throat. She shakes her head.]

Even if you'd be with them, what would they think? I know this place is breaking us. Back in the mall, I almost wanted to... Jane-chan talked me out of it, but I almost acted on that motive with the hostages. I know the way you're feeling. But -- but! We've made it this far twice, Arianna-chan. I won't give up for anything now. All we need to do is make a plan they haven't got a way to counter.

I know! But... it hurts. It hurts merely to know I cannot be with them. It hurts to have nothing I can do to help them. It--it hurts just being in this place, with holodecks and electromagnets and... and...

[...and there she goes again.]

It's been hard, hasn't it? I haven't even thought of how much worse it is if you aren't used to this. But Church-san and I know about space, and everyone else is just adjusting, the same as you. Everyone can contribute something different.

[She would like several, if possible.]

It is more than space. I don't understand Jane's rabbit, or whatever it was Sir PAL was doing, or the "simulation" we were in. I don't know what to do for Sir Dumpy should he be injured. Before, I helped everyone to keep their spirits up, but now I cannot accomplish that for even myself.

[Snug.]

If it helps, I don't know a lot about robots, either, to tell you the truth. I left that kind of thing to our science officers. As for PAL, Church-san would know best, but from what he says, it seems like he's fighting from the inside and forced to be our enemy. Sort of like -- does your world have stories about people who are possessed or cursed?

[It doesn't really help, but maybe if she pretends hard enough it will.]

We do have some stories about possession. I am uncertain what meaning a curse would have here, though. Sir PAL seemed only to be harmed by Sir Heart's attack, not by his own actions.
