It's really tragic, yeah, and a long and worn out story I just don't have it in me to tell in the middle of a party. [Not...false, actually.]

Well, I mean, some people deserve to get kicked where the sun don't shine, and some people deserve a slow and agonizing death, but most people deserve happiness.

I'm on, like, my fifth chance or so, I'm just saying some people aren't super deserving. Of life or love, I guess.

Normally I'd try to one-up that with 'my buddy gave birth to an alien baby as part of a prophecy because he picked up a sword', but I...think you win.
