Xander is an idiot for opening the door, knowing people are going to assault his ears. There's no way he doesn't know.

Maybe he just considers it an inevitable occupational hazard. But didn't he threaten Ardyn-san with changing the rules?

He threatened instead of outright doing it. For an overseer of a killing game, Xander has no spine at all.

Not that I'm complaining. It's better to have him than someone who'd actually have everything here under a vice grip.

He and his bosses must have a complicated relationship.

To say the least. [He takes off the headphones for a moment. The airhorn's giving him a headache] Answer me this, Champion Peacekeeper: what should be done with Xander once this all is over?

I know Ardyn-san is determined to kill him, but Xander-san isn't the problem. That much is clear. He's even been friendly to us and understood our own issues. The only thing keeping him in the mastermind's service is that promise of theirs and the power they have over him. I'm just one person and I'm no ultimate authority -- we have too many leader types in here to even have one person we all turn to. But I don't believe killing him is the right way.

[Hm. That opinion seems to be similar to Togami's in some ways. He seems satisfied]

Will we count on you to keep Ardyn calmed while we all get out of here with Xander?

I don't know if I can, but if anyone can, it's my responsibility to. I'll do whatever I'm able to. Maybe if I talk to him more, I can see why he thinks that way. Ardyn-san, I mean.
