[Back up. Deep breath, Ardyn. He pushed his hair from his eyes and straightened up, trying to remind himself what happened when you were angry and stupid and yelled at everyone.]

[(It wasn't Starscourge-level angry, but it was still goddamn stupid.)]

...I mean, what is it? Did you need something?

[ Thankfully at least Choromatsu is used to snappy outbursts. Used to brothers yelling even when you're not the one that upset them. He understands he's not the problem.

He comes and sits by Ardyn and then holds out one of the containers. ]

Here, I made it. It's soup we make back home with something called miso.

Oh-.... [He took the container for lack of knowing what else to do, clearly confused as to why this was currently happening but going along with it anyway.]

You're welcome. It's not as good as my mom's or Takumi's but it came out better than I thought it would.

[ And guess the other container is for himself because he's opening it now. It's even got tofu and space seaweed from the health food place in it. ]

It's fine--I'm not exactly picky.

[He shrugged, trying and mostly failing to laugh it off.]

...I've been better.

...Things got really heated in there, huh... though saying it like that sounds like an understatement.

I suppose it is, yes. Perhaps I shouldn't have lost my temper quite so abruptly...



...but he's so damn stupid.

[ nod nod ] And he was being a jackass. [ Sorry to drag you Church you've been nothing but nice to him but also you remind him of someone red. ] I actually don't think you were wrong to lose your temper like that, honestly. [ But he's also a mini ball of rage sometimes so ]

I've lost it for worse reasons, I suppose.

Hopefully he'll straighten himself out and learn to keep his mouth shut before we have to meet again and actually talk things over.

Oh, I think I'll manage. Repressing anger in favor of getting things done is something I've had a lot of time to work on.

...I do appreciate the food, though.

I'm glad though. There's more at the soup place if you decide you want more. Though I'll probably take the rest of the leftovers to an actual fridge before night time.

He writes some stuff in it quickly with an equally cutest green pencil before suddenly ripping the page out and passing it and the pencil to Ardyn. ]

What’s this about someone helping us and a tv?

No, truly, I'm touched. It's been ever so long since someone actually cooked for me specifically. I've no talent for the art, myself.

[Ardyn shrugged, continuing to talk as a distraction while he wrote.]

It appears we've a contact outside of this place. She sent directions on how to modify a TV to receive signals with the implication it would help us.

[ he raises an eyebrow for a second but then catches onto what Ardyn is doing. ]

Don’t get a big head— I made it for everyone. Eating is a communal thing, right?

Receive signals? Like cable? I wonder how that could help... but I don’t see why they wouldn’t go this far if they were just trying to trick us so I trust your judgement.

I'm hesitant to entirely trust her. But this is all we have.
