Because I'll trust a mystery voice ostensibly trying to help over the non-mystery voices telling us to kill each other? At least until the helpful voice stops being helpful and tries also getting us killed, this is not exactly BLIND trust going on.

No it's- blind trust would be doing what we were told without ANY idea what we were doing! This was- just- we didn't know COMPLETELY, but it wasn't going to be anything dangerous!
