...Ah, right. We all seem to have them, don't we? Did you dream about wherever you were before this too?

Uh-huh. [She looks up at the ceiling, then to Pyrrha.] There was another murder. The victim and I never got along, but she didn't deserve to be backstabbed by someone she trusted. I couldn't stand him, and he turned out to be even worse than he acted.

[tokencanadian]

I-I'm sorry about that. [...] I remembered the first time we had a murder this morning.... or, the first trial. Someone I was becoming friends with rushed the person holding us captive and was killed, and then another man killed someone just because they messed with his hat.

[ratherdoweddings]

That's horrible! People like that and like Twiright-san -- it's hard to believe they exist.

[tokencanadian]

It was awful for everyone involved. To think that anyone would do something so petty was...

[Her attention slips]

...But that wasn't even the first death. We lost several other people before it. Good people.

[ratherdoweddings]

Oh, no... Even before the trials?

[tokencanadian]

[A weak nod.]

There were... aliens working on the spaceship we were on, a janitor and a cook. They cared about us, but they were killed by a terrible space pirate. Then, when he gave us our first motive, he killed a friend of mine that rushed him in anger.

[ratherdoweddings]

[Yurika gasps.]

Xander-san only hurts people if they're doing something reckless, and he otherwise just embarrasses them. He's like our Overseers. But yours... That's definitely what I'd expect of a pirate. Not someone nice like you.

[tokencanadian]

Right. Not someone like me.

[Not the Champion Space Pirate.

She'd never.]

...T-thank you, Yurika. It's not even like he was out overseer at first. Our situation was... very different from this.

Right, that prison group. Why would they all be so different?

[tokencanadian]

Well, we were told we were just supposed to be rehabilitated. But a week into our sentence, a space pirate named Blaze invaded and took over. That's when the killing game began.

[ratherdoweddings]

One group told it was murder from the start, one told to ignore the hints that it would be, and one with no idea at all. If this really is an experiment, then we've got our variable.

[tokencanadian]

The variable being whether we were told that we have to kill each other from the start is... something interesting to include in this "experiment".

What would the point of it be? I can't imagine the "reveal" of it receives that many different reactions. We were all deeply surprised by it.

I don't know. How willing we were to go through with it?

[tokencanadian]

Or maybe they just want to see the shock at the reveal every time they attempt this.

[ratherdoweddings]

Could all this really just be to watch people suffer?

[tokencanadian]

I don't know. I don't want to believe that's why four killing games have happened, but if it is... We have to make sure this is the last one.

[ratherdoweddings]

You're right. Maybe it's about sadism. Maybe it's about saving billions of people. Maybe it's to lure someone else out. We don't know yet, but we have to try our best to stay alive.

[tokencanadian]

Not to mention figure out a way to escape this place, and figure out just why they would collect people like us for this... nightmare.

I already deeply disbelieve that the answer will be worth it.

Whether it is or not, we'll find it. I believe in all of us here!
